Indian anime fans got a chance to meet their heroes from the beloved series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” at the recently concluded Mumbai Comic Con 2024. The event, which took place on April 20th, was graced by the presence of Natsuki Hanae, the voice actor behind the series’ protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, and Yuma Takahashi, the producer of the anime from Aniplex.
A Trip to Remember: Natsuki Hanae Wins Fans Over with Warmth and Hindi
Natsuki Hanae’s visit to India was a first, and he made sure to leave a lasting impression. Right from the start, he charmed the audience with his greetings in Hindi. “Namasteee (Hello),” he said, adding, “Mera naam Natsuki Hanae hai (My name is Natsuki Hanae).” This simple gesture of acknowledging the local language instantly won over the hearts of the Indian fans.
Hanae’s warmth continued as he offered a special treat to the audience – a live performance of Tanjiro’s voice. The crowd erupted in applause, further solidifying his connection with the fans. He then expressed his gratitude in Hindi again, saying “Bohot bohot dhanyavad (Thank You So Much).”
Love for India and Promises for the Future
Hanae didn’t stop there. He openly declared his love for India, stating “Main aapse bohot pyaar karta hoon (I love you so much),” during his introductory speech. This heartfelt message resonated with the audience, creating a special bond between the actor and his Indian fans. He even expressed his desire for continued support, hinting at a possible future visit.
Yuma Takahashi Talks Demon Slayer’s Future
Yuma Takahashi, the producer from Aniplex, also took the stage to address the audience. He spoke about the upcoming season, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training Arc.” Takahashi revealed that the new season will delve into the highly anticipated Hashira’s Arc, where Tanjiro and his comrades train under the guidance of the powerful Hashira to defeat the evil demon lord Kibutsuji Muzan.
Promising “lots of entertainment,” Takahashi ensured that the upcoming season would be a rollercoaster ride of emotions. He mentioned action, comedy, epic battles, heartwarming moments of family and sibling bonds, and much more. He also acknowledged the vital role voice actors like Natsuki Hanae play in the series’ success.

Takahashi expressed his delight at seeing the massive crowd of Indian Demon Slayer fans. He also thanked Crunchyroll for providing the platform for this interaction. The wait won’t be long for Indian fans. The new season, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc,” is set to premiere on Crunchyroll in India starting May 12, 2024.
