The mystery surrounding Han Seol-ah deepens in the latest episodes of tvN’s Siren’s Kiss, but not in the way anyone expected. Episodes 3 and 4, which aired on March 9 and 10, took viewers on an emotional rollercoaster as the beloved auctioneer found herself handcuffed and arrested in front of everyone, only to be released hours later when the truth about Kim Yoon-ji’s death took a shocking turn.

The drama, which has quickly become a Monday-Tuesday night favorite, delivered its most powerful episodes yet. Park Min-young delivered a heartbreaking performance as Seol-ah, while Wi Ha-joon continued to impress as the determined insurance investigator Cha Woo-seok whose feelings are starting to shift from suspicion to something far more complicated.

Seol-ah’s Public Arrest Shocks Everyone

Episode 3 built tension throughout its runtime, but nothing prepared viewers for what happened at the start of episode 4. Immediately following the auction event, police officers entered Royal Auction and placed Han Seol-ah under arrest . The handcuffs clicked around her wrists in full view of clients and colleagues, her face frozen in disbelief .

The arrest came after intern Do Eun-hye (Han Chae-rin) told police she saw Seol-ah rushing from the rooftop looking panicked on the night Yoon-ji died . This eyewitness testimony gave detectives enough reason to bring Seol-ah in for questioning.

Inside the interrogation room, detective Gong Joo-young (Kong Seong-ha) pressed Seol-ah hard. With a witness and circumstantial evidence pointing her way, things looked bleak for the chief auctioneer . But Seol-ah maintained her composure, insisting she had nothing to do with Yoon-ji’s death.

The CCTV Evidence That Changed Everything

While Seol-ah sat in the interrogation room, Woo-seok was busy following his own leads. He had asked his colleague An Young-soo (Jung Yong-joo) to get a sign language interpreter to analyze Seol-ah’s lip movements from CCTV footage . Young-soo, who recently earned his Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator certification, proved himself a reliable partner by delivering crucial clues to Woo-seok .

Meanwhile, Eun-hyuk, the brother of intern Eun-hye, arrived at the police station feeling terrible about his sister’s testimony . As Eun-hyuk and Seol-ah spoke, Woo-seok watched carefully. Something clicked in his mind, and he suddenly understood the importance of the Auction owner’s art room CCTV .

Woo-seok rushed to secure the footage before Eun-hyuk could get to it. The card containing the video showed something shocking: Seol-ah was inside the art room when Yoon-ji fell. She had rushed to the rooftop only after seeing Yoon-ji fall to her death .

The evidence cleared Seol-ah completely. She was released immediately, and the case was officially ruled a suicide . This turn of events made things awkward for Woo-seok, who had been so certain of her guilt .

The Stalking Truth Finally Comes Out

With the case closed officially, Woo-seok could have walked away. But his investigator instincts wouldn’t let him rest. He dug deeper into Kim Yoon-ji’s life and made a disturbing discovery.

At Yoon-ji’s house, Woo-seok found evidence that she had been secretly following Han Seol-ah . Even more unsettling, he discovered that Yoon-ji and her secret lover Yoon Seung-jae (Ha Seok-jin) โ€“ Seol-ah’s own fiancรฉ โ€“ had rented an apartment directly across from Seol-ah’s home . From that hideout, they could watch Seol-ah’s every move .

Woo-seok also listened to audio recordings left by Yoon-ji. Through them, he learned that Seol-ah’s ex-boyfriend, doctor Choi Young-ho (Yoon Jong-hoon), had actually dated Yoon-ji before meeting Seol-ah . Young-ho broke up with Yoon-ji after falling for Seol-ah, leaving Yoon-ji heartbroken and hungry for revenge .

Her plan? Make Seol-ah experience the same pain. Yoon-ji targeted Seung-jae, seducing him and carrying on an affair right under Seol-ah’s nose .

Seol-ah’s Dark Past Revealed

Episode 4 didn’t just focus on the present mystery. Through Seol-ah’s memories, viewers finally saw the trauma that shaped her.

In flashbacks, a young Seol-ah visited Dr. Choi Young-ho as a patient. Instead of providing care, he touched her inappropriately, leaving her deeply traumatized . This abuse explained so much about Seol-ah’s guarded nature and difficulty trusting people.

Woo-seok also learned about Seol-ah’s family. Her parents died in a fire years ago, a tragedy that has haunted her ever since . The woman who seems to have it all โ€“ beauty, career success, wealth โ€“ has actually lost everyone she ever loved.

Woo-seok’s Feelings Begin to Change

As Woo-seok pieced together Seol-ah’s painful history, something shifted inside him. The suspect he had chased so relentlessly started looking more like a victim .

Episode 4’s most powerful scene came at the end. Seol-ah attended Seung-jae’s memorial service, where his mother attacked her in grief . When Seung-jae’s brother aggressively questioned her about insurance policies, Woo-seok stepped in and stopped him .

Later, Seol-ah and Woo-seok finally talked honestly. The weight of everything โ€“ the public arrest, the betrayal by her fiancรฉ, the years of pain โ€“ crashed down on her. She broke down completely .

Overwhelmed, Seol-ah drove to a cliff and prepared to jump. She couldn’t take anymore. But Woo-seok had followed her and pulled her back from the edge .

“Leave me alone so I can just disappear,” she begged him.

Woo-seok held on tightly. “I want to know more,” he shouted. Then came the line that has everyone talking: “I’m curious about you, Han Seol-ah” .

The episode ended on that emotional note, leaving viewers desperate for more.

Strong Ratings Despite Dip

Episode 3 saw a slight ratings dip, averaging 4.1 percent nationwide compared to episode 2’s 4.6 percent . Some viewers felt the pacing was slow, while others noted that a baseball broadcast on Korean television at the same time may have affected viewership .

But episode 4 bounced back strong. It recorded a nationwide average of 4.3 percent, peaking at 5.7 percent . In the capital region, numbers reached 5.8 percent at their highest . Most importantly, the drama ranked number one in its time slot among cable channels and scored first place with the key 20-49 demographic .

Jung Yong-joo, who plays deputy An Young-soo, has also received positive attention for his performance. His character’s growth from a “permanent office fixture” to a certified fraud investigator added warmth and humor to the intense drama . His chemistry with Wi Ha-joon has become a highlight for many viewers.

What’s Still Hidden?

Episodes 3 and 4 answered some questions but raised many more. If Seol-ah didn’t kill anyone, who is responsible for the deaths of all the men around her? A character named Jun-beom (Kim Jung-hyun) has shown obsessive interest in Seol-ah, leading some to wonder if he might be eliminating his rivals .

The insurance policy angle also remains unexplained. Why did Seung-jae’s brother bring it up at the memorial? What happened in the fire that killed Seol-ah’s parents? How did Dr. Young-ho really die? And what exactly was Yoon-ji trying to uncover about Seol-ah’s past ?

With eight episodes remaining, the truth is far from fully revealed.

The fifth episode of Siren’s Kiss airs on March 16 at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN. For international viewers, the drama is available on streaming platforms with subtitles in multiple languages.
