Spoiler Warning
This article includes spoilers that may disturb some readers.
The battle against Sukuna, the fearsome King of Curses, has reached a pivotal conclusion in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268. As the manga series nears its end with only four chapters remaining, spoilers from the latest chapter shed light on significant developments and emotional moments.
Sukuna’s Defeat
The upcoming chapter, potentially titled ‘Conclusion’ or ‘The End,’ opens with an intense psychological struggle between Sukuna and Megumi Fushiguro. Sukuna attempts to break Megumi’s will by highlighting his losses, including the death of his sister and his struggle to regain control. He urges Megumi to surrender, suggesting he will handle the rest of the situation himself.
However, Megumi counters Sukuna’s taunts by pointing out that Sukuna has only one finger left, implying that if Yuji Itadori manages to separate Sukuna from his body, the curse will be defeated. Megumi realizes that Sukuna’s fear of death makes him vulnerable, and he decides to fight on, despite never intending to live a fulfilling life.
The Collapse of Sukuna’s Reincarnation
As Megumi and Sukuna’s struggle continues, Yuji’s domain collapses, leading to Sukuna’s separation from Megumi. Sukuna screams in pain as he is forcefully removed, ending his control over Megumi. Yuji, reflecting on their shared cursed existence, expresses a willingness to coexist with Sukuna, even though others might not accept him. Sukuna reacts angrily to Yuji’s sympathetic approach, asserting his identity as a curse.
The Aftermath
The chapter shifts to the battle between Uraume and Hakari. Uraume acknowledges Sukuna’s defeat and expresses a belief that the victory was due to luck rather than skill. Hakari sees Uraume’s comment as a compliment, interpreting luck as a form of skill.
Letters from Gojo
The story then transitions to Jujutsu Tech, where Megumi wakes up to Yuji and Nobara Kugisaki trying to surprise him with the news of Nobara’s survival. They present letters from Satoru Gojo, which surprises the trio. Nobara reads her letter, which contains information about her mother’s whereabouts, but she chooses to destroy it, expressing disinterest.
In contrast, Megumi finds his letter amusing as it simply reads, “Unfortunately, your father isn’t around anymore — because I killed him!! Sorry!!” Despite the shocking content, Megumi reacts with a smile. The chapter ends with the trio planning to meet up with Maki, Yuta Okkotsu, and others, following a mysterious voice calling out, “Yuta, you damn bastard!”
Upcoming Break
The chapter concludes with an announcement that the manga will be on break next week. Readers are left anticipating the next developments and the fate of the characters involved.
