The full list of nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards has been announced, setting the stage for music’s biggest night on February 1, 2026. Kendrick Lamar tops the list with an impressive nine nominations, while Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and Sabrina Carpenter are also in the running for the ceremony’s top prizes.
The nominations were revealed on November 7 by a group of artists that included Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Sam Smith. This year introduces two new categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. The winners will be decided by the voting members of the Recording Academy, a peer group of music creators.
Top Nominees and Major Categories
Kendrick Lamar leads all artists with nine nominations. His album GNX is up for Album of the Year, while his collaboration with SZA, “luther,” earned nods for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. This continues Lamar’s remarkable Grammy success after he won five awards, including Song and Record of the Year for “Not Like Us,” at the 2025 ceremony.
Close behind, Lady Gaga earned seven nominations. Her album Mayhem and its lead single, “Abracadabra,” are also competing in the Album, Record, and Song of the Year categories.
Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, and Leon Thomas each received six nominations. Bad Bunny made history as the first Spanish-language artist to be nominated in the same year for Album, Song, and Record of the Year. His nominated album is DeBร TiRAR MรกS FOToS.

Notable Highlights and Firsts
The 2026 nominations include several significant milestones. Bad Bunny is the first Spanish-language artist to be nominated for Album, Song, and Record of the Year in the same year. His song “DtMF” is only the second Spanish-language track ever nominated for both Record and Song of the Year.
K-pop also gained new ground. ROSร of Blackpink became the first K-pop artist nominated for Record of the Year for her collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.” The animated film KPop Demon Hunters earned a Song of the Year nomination for “Golden.”
In the Best New Artist category, nominees include the global girl group KATSEYE and singer-songwriter Leon Thomas, who also scored an Album of the Year nod for his record Mutt.
The comeback of hip-hop duo Clipse was recognized with a nomination for Album of the Year for Let God Sort Em Out, their first Grammy nomination in 22 years.
New Categories and Genre Fields
The newly introduced Best Album Cover category features nominees including Tyler, the Creator, Bad Bunny, and Wet Leg. The country field has been split into two distinct categories: Best Contemporary Country Album and Best Traditional Country Album, the latter featuring a nomination for Willie Nelson.
Other notable genre nominations include Justin Bieber for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best R&B Performance, Turnstile for Best Rock Album, and FKA twigs for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
The Recording Academy’s CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., highlighted the scope of this year’s awards, noting that 15,000 voting members evaluated 20,000 entries across 95 categories.
“The Grammys had celebrated musicโs very, very best for 68 years,” said Harvey Mason Jr.
The 68th Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The ceremony will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network and streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+.
