Byakuya Kuchiki Joins the Fight
Byakuya Kuchiki used his Bankai, Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, against Gerard. However, Gerard’s Schrift power allowed him to recover from injuries that would defeat ordinary opponents. The episode also showed Ukitake struggling to maintain the boundaries between worlds. The weakening borders caused Hollows to appear in Karakura Town.
Ichigo’s Combined Attack Against Yhwach
The episode’s final moments focused on Ichigo facing Yhwach. Ichigo unleashed a fused attack combining Getsuga Tensho and Gran Rey Cero. The attack was powerful enough to make Yhwach draw his sword. The scene used the iconic track “Number One”, which signals major moments in Ichigo’s journey.
