The Judge from Hell has officially ended its run, taking the crown as the highest-rated miniseries in its final week. This SBS fantasy drama captivated audiences across South Korea, scoring top ratings for its last episode and outperforming other weekend dramas.

Finale of “The Judge from Hell” Scores Top Ratings Nationwide

On November 2, 2024, “The Judge from Hell” wrapped up as the most-watched show in its time slot across all channels. According to Nielsen Korea, the series finale achieved an impressive nationwide rating of 11.9 percent, securing its position as the most popular miniseries of the week. The show’s unique storyline, blending fantasy elements with courtroom drama, consistently drew in viewers throughout its run, culminating in this high point.

In addition to its overall success, “The Judge from Hell” was also the most popular program on Saturday among viewers in the 20 to 49 age demographic, scoring a 4.3 percent average rating with this key audience. This demonstrates the drama’s broad appeal across age groups, particularly among younger viewers.

Competing Dramas’ Performances in the Same Time Slot

The finale of “The Judge from Hell” was broadcast in the same time slot as other popular dramas, notably MBC’s “Doubt”, which garnered a 5.3 percent average nationwide rating. Despite strong competition, “The Judge from Hell” maintained a substantial lead, showing its dominance over similar shows airing on Saturday.

Other weekend dramas also saw impressive ratings during the same period. tvN’s “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born” began the second half of its season with a solid 10.1 percent nationwide rating, while JTBC’s “A Virtuous Business achieved a 4.8 percent rating as it entered its second half. Although these shows attracted a substantial viewership, “The Judge from Hell” consistently outshone them throughout its run.

KBS 2TV’s “Iron Family” Leads Saturday with Record-Breaking Viewership

While “The Judge from Hell” triumphed in the miniseries category, KBS 2TV’s “Iron Family” maintained its status as the most-watched program of any kind on Saturday. The show reached a staggering 15.2 percent nationwide rating for its latest episode, showcasing its immense popularity among audiences in South Korea.

Legacy of “The Judge from Hell”

The success of “The Judge from Hell” highlights the continued appeal of fantasy dramas infused with social commentary and courtroom intrigue. As the series closes on a high note, it leaves a strong impression on viewers, and its performance sets a benchmark for other dramas aiming to capture audience interest in the same genre.
