A recent social media post by Park Gyu Young, an actress in Squid Game 2, has sparked speculation among fans about a potential plot twist in Squid Game 3. The now-deleted Instagram post has led to discussions about the fate of another character and their possible return in a different role.

The Picture That Started the Buzz

Park Gyu Young, who plays Kang No Eul, a North Korean defector turned pink soldier in the series, shared a seemingly casual picture from the set. However, a figure in the background caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans: another pink soldier.

Potential Spoilers Ahead (Proceed with Caution)

This section contains potential spoilers for Squid Game 2 and possibly Squid Game 3. If you wish to avoid spoilers, please skip to the next section.

The pink soldier in the background appears to be Lee Jin Wook, who plays Park Gyeong Seok (player number 246). In Squid Game 2, Park Gyeong Seok is last seen being shot by a pink soldier during episode 7 after player 001 (Lee Byung Hun as the Front Man/Oh Young Il) orchestrates the elimination of rebellious players.

Actress Park Gyu Young May Have Just Spoiled “Squid Game 3”

The picture suggests that Park Gyeong Seok may not have died from the gunshot. Instead, he might have been intentionally spared and transformed into a pink soldier, similar to how Wi Ha Joon‘s character, Hwang Jun Ho, infiltrated the game in Season 1. This development could be significant, especially considering the interactions between Kang No Eul and Park Gyeong Seok‘s daughter earlier in Season 2.

Strict Anti-Spoiler Measures and Agency Response

Netflix and the Squid Game production team have taken stringent measures to prevent spoilers. These include Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) for reporters attending press conferences and even covering cell phone cameras to prevent filming. Netflix contracts also reportedly include substantial penalty fees for revealing future plot details.

Park Gyu Young‘s agency, Saram Entertainment, has since issued a brief statement regarding the controversial picture:

[Regarding the picture] please check out Season 3.

This cryptic response has only fueled further speculation and excitement among fans.
