New still images from the upcoming K-drama The Witch, starring GOT7’s Jinyoung and Roh Jeong Eui, have been released. The drama tells the story of a man who becomes fascinated by a woman labeled a witch.
High School Encounters and Growing Curiosity
On January 21, 2025, the production team of The Witch shared several still images featuring Jinyoung as Dong Jin and Roh Jeong Eui as Mi Jung. The images show Dong Jin during his high school days, when he first notices Mi Jung. Mi Jung is often seen in shadows, isolated and alone. Other students avoid her, spreading rumors and calling her a witch.
Dong Jin, unlike his classmates, believes these accusations are unfair and simply generalizations. Without realizing it at first, Mi Jung starts to occupy his thoughts. However, burdened by the constant stigma of being called a witch, Mi Jung eventually leaves the school.
A Story of Fate and Connection
The Witch follows Park Mi Jung, a free-spirited and independent woman known for her stylish fashion. She has stood out since birth, having lost her mother during childbirth. Her unique and mysterious presence attracts attention.
However, a series of mysterious deaths of male students who become infatuated with her leads to rumors that she is a witch. Unable to cope with the accusations, Mi Jung leaves both the school and the town. Later, Dong Jin encounters her again, and their unique relationship begins to unfold.
The drama is based on the webtoon Manyeo, written by Kang Full, who also created the popular series Moving and Light Shop. Directed by Kim Tae Gyoon and written by Cho Yu Jin, The Witch is scheduled for release on February 15, 2025.
