Dark Nuns is the second film in the series that began with The Priests, which starred Kang Dong Won and was released in 2015. Sister Junia, played by Song Hye Kyo, is determined to rescue Hee Joon and is supported by Sister Michaela, played by Jeon Yeo Been, throughout her challenging journey.
Father Paolo, played by Lee Jin Wook, a psychiatrist, believes that medical intervention is the best way to help Hee Joon. In contrast, Father Andrea takes a different approach, performing exorcisms in an attempt to rid the boy of the dark force. The film shows their combined battle of faith, science, and willpower against evil.
