A new civil lawsuit filed against music figure Sean “Diddy” Combs presents serious allegations, including claims that a man was drugged, sexually assaulted, and forced to wear a disturbing mask during a party reportedly attended by prominent entertainment figures. The plaintiff, Joseph Manzaro, details the alleged events in legal documents filed around April 1, 2025. This lawsuit adds to the growing number of legal challenges faced by Combs, who is also confronting federal criminal charges. Combs’ legal representatives have strongly refuted Manzaro’s claims.

Broader Legal Challenges

Sean Combs has been the subject of numerous lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct and other serious offenses over the past few years. Several individuals have come forward with accusations, many filed under temporary look-back laws like the New York Adult Survivors Act. In addition to civil suits, Combs faces federal criminal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering, to which he has pleaded not guilty. A trial for the federal charges is anticipated. Recently, a separate lawsuit filed by an anonymous plaintiff was dismissed after the accuser did not reveal their identity, as reported by The Economic Times. Combs consistently denies all allegations of wrongdoing across the various cases.

Manzaro Lawsuit Details

The lawsuit brought by Joseph Manzaro centers on an event alleged to have occurred in April 2015. Manzaro claims he was drugged and sexually assaulted. The complaint alleges these events took place during a birthday party for Combs’ son, Christian “King” Combs. The location mentioned in the suit is a property on Star Island in Miami, Florida, which was owned at the time by music icons Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The suit specifies that Emilio Estefan is named as a defendant alongside Combs and former adult film performer Adria English. Gloria Estefan is not named as a defendant.

Disturbing Party Allegations

Manzaro’s legal filing describes the event as a “freak-off.” He alleges that after being drugged, he was taken to the Star Island property. The lawsuit claims he was later transported through an underground tunnel to Combs’ own mansion nearby by defendant Adria English. According to the complaint, Combs allegedly ordered Manzaro to be degraded in front of other party guests. Manzaro alleges he was stripped, forced into a thong, and made to wear “a black leather mask with a rubber dam forcibly inserted and zipped closed over his head.” The suit further alleges, “A locking sex device was affixed to the mask, which protruded from his mouth.” Manzaro claims he was then subjected to non-consensual acts while in this state.

Alleged Celebrity Encounters

The lawsuit documents several alleged encounters Manzaro had with well-known figures while in his distressed and altered state. He claims he saw Gloria Estefan notice his condition and suggest calling an ambulance, but alleges defendant Emilio Estefan intervened and ushered her away. Manzaro also states he briefly encountered basketball star LeBron James in a hallway, who allegedly remarked, “Y’all better do something about that,” referring to Manzaro’s condition.

Later, Manzaro claims he regained partial awareness and found himself in a room with music superstars Jay-Z and Beyoncรฉ. The lawsuit alleges Beyoncรฉ expressed confusion, asking why a “half-naked” man wearing the disturbing mask device was in front of her. The complaint mentions another instance where Manzaro encountered jeweler Jacob Arabo, expressing confusion, before allegedly being moved away at Emilio Estefan’s instruction. The suit claims Gloria Estefan again requested an ambulance for Manzaro but was silenced by Emilio. It is important to note that Gloria Estefan, LeBron James, Jay-Z, and Beyoncรฉ are mentioned in the lawsuit as potential witnesses to Manzaro’s state but are not named as defendants.

Official Denials Issued

Representatives for Sean Combs and the Estefans have responded to the allegations in Manzaro’s lawsuit. PEOPLE magazine reported a statement from Combs’ legal team vehemently denying the claims.

โ€œThis complaint demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday. No sane person reading this complaint could credit this story. Mr. Combs looks forward to having his day in court where these lies โ€“ and the perverse motives of those who told them โ€“ will be revealed.โ€

A representative for Gloria and Emilio Estefan also issued a strong denial to PEOPLE magazine regarding the allegations involving them and their former property.

“Gloria and Emilio Estefan strongly deny the allegations made. The property in question was never a home where Gloria and Emilio resided, but it was rather a house they owned for family use. There were no parties thrown at that property between 2012 and 2019. We have all necessary documentation to support these facts and will provide it to the court.”

The legal proceedings related to this lawsuit are ongoing. No representative for Adria English provided an immediate comment according to initial reports.
