Park Sung-hoon and Han Ji-min are confirmed to lead the upcoming romantic comedy “Efficient Dating for Singles” (working title). The drama is based on a popular Naver webtoon and follows the love life of a woman who discovers romance through blind dates.
Han Ji-min will play Lee Eui-young, a woman who has been single her whole life. Park Sung-hoon takes on the role of Song Tae-seop, a woodworking studio owner with a calm personality but deep family values. The story begins when Eui-young meets Tae-seop and another man, Shin Ji-soo (Lee Ki-taek), through arranged dates.
This marks Park Sung-hoonโs return to TV after his recent controversy. Earlier this year, he faced backlash for accidentally sharing explicit content on social media. He later stepped down from another drama, “The Tyrantโs Chef”, following discussions with the production team.
Han Ji-min was last seen in the drama “Love Scout” and recently attended the wedding of her “Our Blues” co-star Jung Eun-hye. Fans are excited to see her return to a lighthearted romantic role.
The drama is set to premiere next year. No exact date has been announced yet.
“Efficient Dating for Singles” is expected to bring a fresh take on modern relationships. The webtoonโs humor and relatable dating struggles have already gained a strong fanbase.
Park Sung-hoonโs casting comes after his appearance in “Squid Game Season 2“. Despite the controversy, many are curious to see how he will perform in this new project.
Han Ji-minโs character is described as someone who has focused on work over love. Her journey into dating will be a key part of the story.
The production team has not yet revealed further details about filming schedules or additional cast members. More updates are expected in the coming months.
