South Korean actor Park Bo Gum has expressed his strong desire to visit India and work in an Indian production, especially a musical. The Good Boy star also thanked his Indian fans in Hindi, saying “Dhanyavaad” during a recent media interaction.
Park Bo Gum is currently promoting his new drama Good Boy, which marks his return to acting after completing military service. The Prime Video series follows a group of elite athletes who join the police force. He plays Yoon Dong-ju, a gold medal-winning boxer.
During a press roundtable, Park Bo Gum was asked about his message for Indian fans. He replied:
“To my Indian friends, dhanyavaad (thank you). Is that right? Thank you for your support and love. I really want to go to India. I don’t know when, but if I have a chance to go to India, I really want to meet and greet you all. I hope so. So thank you a lot. Dhanyavaad.”
He also shared his interest in working in India, saying:
“If the opportunity allows, I would love to visit India for a production or maybe do a musical within India. If that happens, I would love to join the cast alongside my co-star Sang Yi from Good Boy; that would make me happy.”
Park Bo Gum has a huge fan following in India, thanks to hit dramas like Reply 1988, Love in the Moonlight, and Encounter. His latest project, Good Boy, is set to premiere on May 31 on Prime Video.
The actor trained in boxing and worked on building muscle for his role. He said:
“Good Boy was the first project I took on after finishing military service. I actually trained in real-life boxing with physical contactโฆ and I had to grow my muscle percentage. We worked out together on set. I learned a lot from the team.”
Park Bo Gum also spoke about his character, comparing it to his previous role in When Life Gives You Tangerines. He said both characters are action-driven and have a healthy mindset.
Fans are excited about his possible visit to India and a potential collaboration in an Indian film or musical. His warm message has made his Indian supporters even more eager to see him in person.
Good Boy also stars Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae. The series will be available globally on Prime Video.
