Miley Cyrus Says “Niley for Life” in Rare Comments About Ex Nick Jonas; See What She Revealed

Miley Cyrus recently opened up about her past relationship with Nick Jonas during a podcast appearance. The singer shared her current feelings about the Jonas Brothers star nearly 20 years after their breakup. Cyrus also joked about their old couple nickname and reflected on their teenage romance.

Cyrus appeared on the Every Single Album podcast and talked about her 2009 book, Miles to Go. She revealed how she felt when writing about Jonas after their split. At the time, she wanted to call him harsh names but was advised to soften her words.

“I probably was like… ‘Nick Jonas dumped me. He’s a d–k.’ But they were like, ‘We can say he’s not a very nice boy.’ But I was probably like, ‘He’s an a–hole.’”

Now, Cyrus has moved past the hurt and holds no grudges. She said she still likes Jonas and supports his family life with Priyanka Chopra and their daughter, Malti Marie.

“I like Nick. I’m into him. He’s married with children. We’re all moving on. Everything is good in the world. Niley for life.”

Cyrus and Jonas dated from 2006 to 2007 while both were rising Disney stars. Their relationship was intense, with Cyrus admitting they argued often. The breakup left her heartbroken, and she even wrote songs about him, including “7 Things” and “Before the Storm.”

One major reason for their split was Jonas choosing to tour with his band instead of opening for Cyrus. She recalled feeling abandoned at the time.

“He was separating himself from the Disney thing, and I wanted him to take me on the tour. Like, ‘Why don’t we do it together? I don’t understand why you’re leaving me.’”

Despite the past drama, Cyrus looks back fondly on their relationship. She even referred to Jonas as her “first crush” in a 2015 interview. Both have since moved on—Cyrus is dating drummer Maxx Morando, while Jonas is happily married.
