The movie follows Jung Hwan (Jo Jung Suk), a single father whose daughter Soo Ah (Choi Yu Ri) becomes the last surviving zombie after a deadly outbreak. To protect her, he hides in his hometown, Eunbong Village, with his mother Bam Soon (Lee Jung Eun). Jung Hwan starts secret training to control Soo Ah’s zombie instincts. A touching moment comes when she remembers a dance they used to do together. He tearfully insists, “If she has memories, she’s not a zombie. She’s alive, Mom!”

The situation gets harder when Jung Hwan’s first love, Yeon Hwa (Cho Yeo Jeong), appears. She hates zombies and coldly says, “That’s not your daughter anymore.” As rumors spread about Soo Ah, the family faces growing danger.

The film is adapted from a Naver Webtoon by Lee Yun Chang, which ran from 2018 to 2020. The story is set one year after a zombie outbreak, where South Korea is declared zombie-free—except for Soo Ah. The webtoon gained a strong fanbase, making the live-action adaptation highly anticipated.

Director Pil Gam Sung, known for “Hostage: Missing Celebrity,” brings the story to life with a mix of comedy and drama. The cast includes Jo Jung Suk, Choi Yu Ri, Lee Jung Eun, Cho Yeo Jeong, and Yoon Kyung Ho.
