BTS will stay in the US for two months to prepare their first full-group album since 2020, with all members joining after completing solo schedules.

The seven members of BTS are reuniting for their first group album since their military service. On July 1, 2025, they announced a new album set for Spring 2026, followed by a world tour. The group revealed plans to work on music together in the United States, with no return to South Korea for at least two months.

BTS Begins US Song Camp for 2026 Comeback

BTS confirmed during a Weverse livestream that they will start working on new music in July 2025. The members emphasized that this album will reflect their collective ideas, marking their first full-group project since their hiatus.

“Weโ€™ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each memberโ€™s thoughts and ideas.”

RM was the first to fly to Los Angeles on July 6, followed by SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook the next day. V (Kim Taehyung) will join after finishing his commitments at Paris Fashion Week for Celine. J-Hope and Jin will also wrap up their solo tours before reuniting with the group.

No Return to South Korea Until Late 2025

According to Dispatch Korea, BTS will remain in the US for two months to focus on their album. The report states that the group is planning a full-length studio album, their first since Map of the Soul: 7 (2020).

The album is expected to involve collaborations with international producers, with recording sessions taking place across different US locations. This approach mirrors their previous global hits, such as Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey) and Dynamite.

While the group prepares for their 2026 comeback, some members are finishing solo projects:

  • Jin is currently on his #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, with stops in Osaka (July 12-13), Anaheim (July 17-18), Dallas (July 22-23), Tampa (July 26-27), London (August 5-6), and Amsterdam (August 9-10) before joining the team in LA.
  • J-Hope will perform at Lollapalooza Berlin on July 13 before reuniting with BTS.
  • V attended Celineโ€™s Spring 2026 show in Paris on July 6, his first public appearance since military discharge.
