The new K-drama Twelve has started on KBS2 and Disney+. The show stars Ma Dong-seok and Park Hyung-sik. It is a fantasy story about twelve zodiac angels fighting evil. The first two episodes came out on August 23 and 24, 2025. Fans are now waiting for episodes 3 and 4. These will be released on August 30 and 31, 2025. The show airs on KBS2 at 9:20 pm KST. International fans can watch it on Disney+ in some regions. It is also on JioHotstar and U+ Mobile TV. Episodes on U+ might come out a little later.

The series has eight episodes in total. Two new episodes are released each week on Saturday and Sunday. The story is about angels who look like humans. Long ago, they sealed evil spirits behind the Hell Gate. But now the dark forces are back. The leader of the angels is Tae-san. He is the tiger sign. Park Hyung-sik plays the main villain, O-gwi. He is an evil spirit who looks like a crow. The show has a big cast including Seo In-guk, Lee Joo-bin, and Kang Mina.

What Happens in Episodes 3 and 4

In episode 3, the angels will face new threats. O-gwi knows the Twelve Angels are still alive. He will start looking for three spirit stones. These stones can help him bring back the power of Haetae. He wants to make the Dragon Soul. This would be very bad for humans. Tae-san told the angels to stay away from people. But their pendants are glowing. This means they are needed to fight. More angels will come together as the danger grows.

Tae-san has his own problems. He forgets to take his medicine for depression. This makes him weak. Fans wonder if he can still lead the fight. The demons are getting stronger. In episode 2, Mir was attacked by demons. The angels came to save her. The fight is just starting. The angels lost their powers when they sealed the Hellmouth long ago. Now they must find a way to win without their full strength.

Park Hyung-sik talked about his role as O-gwi. He said, “Crows are very smart animals. But we cannot see what they are thinking inside. I tried to make O-gwi have those same unclear qualities. I also added the crow’s elegant but sharp wing movements into the action scenes.”

The director of Twelve, Han Yoon-seon, wanted O-gwi to be a complex character. He said, “Even though he is against the twelve angels, I wanted him to interact with them and grow. I want viewers to love his character too.”

Recap of Episodes 1 and 2

In episode 1, Tae-san is the chief of the Twelve Angels. He is also the head of Angel Capital Group. He visits a prisoner named Jo Yang-su. Yang-su owes money. When he refuses to pay, Tae-san gets him out of jail. Meanwhile, detective Ma-rok borrows money from Tae-san. He buys clothes for Mir, who used to be Tae-san’s partner. Mir works at a museum now. She does not accept the gift when she knows it is from Tae-san.

Tae-san’s team raids a gambling hall. They get back money that was owed. At the police station, Ma-rok sees news about old relics with strange energy. In another place, a priest named Samin cuts his hand during a ritual. This releases O-gwi, a red-eyed winged figure.

Episode 2 shows Tae-san drinking alone. He remembers the past. In a flashback, he saves villagers from raiders. Mir uses her powers to help. But people think she is a demon. They try to execute her. Tae-san saves her and tells the angels not to get involved with humans again.

O-gwi enters the human world. He meets Samin. The priest tells him that his powers are weak after Haetae died. But Haetae’s energy is in three soul stones. O-gwi can use them to get strong again. Tae-san gets upset when he loses his medicine. The angels’ lockets glow because they sense evil. Mir is attacked by demons at work. The angels come to fight them. The episode ends with Tae-san seeing his locket shine.

How Fans Reacted

The show started with a 8.1% viewership rating. But some viewers did not like the story and the computer effects. Online comments are mixed. Some people are excited about the cast and action. Others think the story is confusing. Park Hyung-sik is playing a villain for the first time. Many are curious to see his performance.

One fan on Dramabeans said, “Finally! A new show I’m excited about. PLEASEBEGOOD.” Another fan wrote, “I’ve never seen Ma Dong-seok in any drama before, so I’m really excited.”

But some international fans are upset. Hulu in the US is not releasing episodes at the same time as Korea. They are coming out days later. One fan said, “This is enough to make me consider going dark for this one. And the subs would probably be better.”
