Katherine LaNasa, who won her first Emmy for playing Nurse Dana Evans on the HBO Max drama The Pitt, has revealed where she keeps the prestigious award. Instead of a formal display case, she has chosen a spot that is both casual and social, reflecting her personal style.

The Emmy’s New Home

After winning the award, LaNasa decided to place her Emmy on a bar cabinet in her home. She shared this detail on the pink carpet at the Best in Drag pageant, a charity event held at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

โ€œItโ€™s on a bar cabinet that divides our living room and dining room,โ€ LaNasa said.

This means the golden statuette sits among glasses and bottles, making it a visible and conversational piece for anyone visiting her home. The choice shows her relaxed and personal approach to celebrating her success.

A Meaningful Win for the Actress

LaNasa won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14, 2025. This was her first Emmy nomination and win.

In her emotional acceptance speech, she thanked the show’s executive producer, John Wells, the writers, and her fellow cast members. She also gave a special mention to the real-life nurses who inspired her character.

โ€œOh my goodness, I am so proud and honored to receive this award from the Academy. My whole career I wanted to work for John Wells and he elevates everything in his wake,โ€ she said from the stage.

She has previously shared that her own experience as a cancer survivor helped shape how she played Nurse Dana Evans. She wanted to honor the medical professionals who treated her.

Celebrating at the Best in Drag Show

The event where LaNasa revealed the trophy’s location was for a good cause. The Best in Drag pageant raises money for APLA Healthโ€™s Alliance for Housing and Healing. The organization supports homeless individuals and those living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles. This year’s event raised $250,000.

LaNasa attended with her husband, actor Grant Show, and both served as judges. She expressed her strong support for the event’s message of acceptance.

โ€œBest in Drag is just fun as hell, and itโ€™s about accepting everybody where they are, celebrating people as they are,โ€ LaNasa said. โ€œI hope that this event teaches people that drag queens donโ€™t kill, and thereโ€™s nothing to be afraid of here.โ€

Fan Reactions to Her Emmy Win

Fans have been sharing their excitement online about LaNasa’s well-deserved recognition. Many congratulated the New Orleans native on her win. One fan recalled her previous role, commenting, “Lizzy from Longmire!!! She was a hootโ€ฆ Congratulations!” Others praised her performance in The Pitt, noting it was a standout in the show.
