The Real Housewives of Potomac welcomed a new face to its cast for its landmark tenth season. Angel Massie joined the show as a full-time housewife, bringing her family, business background, and deep connections to the DMV area back to the region. The newest cast member aims to reestablish her life in Potomac after years away.
Who Is Angel Massie?
Angel Massie is an entrepreneur and mother of two who was raised in Baltimore within a tight-knit and influential family. Her upbringing was marked by prestige and elite schooling that exposed her to an international curriculum. During these formative years, she developed a passion for equestrian sports, which later influenced her career path in luxury outdoor experiences.
Before entering the reality television spotlight, Angel built a professional background in broadcast journalism and production. She began her career with BET News, working in front of and behind the camera. This media experience likely prepared her for the unscripted drama of Housewives life.
Angel is married to Bobby Massie, a former NFL offensive tackle who played for teams including the Denver Broncos. The couple recently returned to the DMV area after Bobby’s retirement from professional football, settling back into what they consider their true home near family and old friends.
Angel Massie’s Family Life
Family plays a central role in Angel’s storyline on the show. She and Bobby have two young children: a son named Cush, age 4, and a daughter named Gaia, age 1. Both children have already made appearances on the series, giving viewers glimpses into the Massie family’s daily life.
The family’s return to the DMV came after several years living in Colorado during Bobby’s NFL career. Angel described herself as “a Maryland girl” and explained their decision to return: “We moved to Colorado when Bobby signed with the Denver Broncos. But now that Bobby’s retired, we knew that we wanted to come back to the DMV because all of our family is here. This is our home.”
Angel has spoken openly about how family values and building a legacy guide her choices. She comes from a close family herself and has worked to create similar strong foundations for her own children.
The Wanderland Outdoors Business
Angel and her husband Bobby are the co-founders of Wanderland Outdoors, a business they started while living in Colorado. The company offers what Angel describes as “luxurious guided outdoor experiences” in Colorado’s natural landscapes.
“We offer luxurious guided outdoor experiences in Colorado,” Angel explained on the show. “And we really put our foot and heart and soul into giving mountain luxury and to really just have, like, a fun kickback.”
The business focuses on providing clients with opportunities to connect with nature through activities like fishing and meditation while maintaining an emphasis on mindfulness and luxury. Despite the challenges of running a Colorado-based business from Maryland, the couple is expanding their venture with a new location called Wanderland Atlantic in Maryland.
Angel has certification as a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, which informs her approach to both business and personal life. She has shared that meditation and mindfulness play crucial roles in her life, particularly in coping with personal challenges like the passing of her mother.
“Meditation and mindfulness plays such an important role in my life because it grounds me in the present moment,” Angel revealed. “It has helped me to heal after my mom passed away. It’s a catharsis. It allows me not to be as reactive as I’ve been in the past.”
Connections to the RHOP Cast
Angel is not a complete stranger to the existing Real Housewives of Potomac cast members. She has several connections that predate her joining the show.
Her strongest link is with Keiarna Stewart, whom she has known for more than two decades. Keiarna spoke highly of her longtime friend, stating: “Love her dearly. She’s awesome. Angel goes on a ride this season, and, you know what? I’m staying beside her. But I think she’s incredible. She’s what Housewives are made of.”
Angel also attended Temple University in Philadelphia at the same time as fellow housewife Wendy Osefo. Though they weren’t close friends during their college years, they shared mutual acquaintances. Angel noted: “I don’t know Wendy well. She’s several years older than me, so by time she was getting ready to get out the door at Temple, I was just in the door, right? But I’ve always known Wendy to be a completely ambitious, go-getter.”
Wendy’s recollection of their college overlap was less distinct, telling a producer after reuniting with Angel at an event: “No, I do not know her. Familiar face, yes. But same circle, no.”
Another interesting connection emerged when Angel shared what she called a “funny story” about how Ashley Darby had previously worked as her “bottle girl” in the past, though specific details about this professional relationship weren’t fully elaborated on the show.
Angel’s Approach to Housewives Drama
Angel brings what she describes as a “zen” energy to the sometimes-turbulent Potomac group dynamics. She acknowledges that people often misjudge her based on first impressions.
“The biggest misconception people have about me when they meet me is that I’m gonna be a bitch,” Angel revealed in a confessional on the season premiere. “I guess I give resting bitch face, but actually, inside, I’m a girls’ girl.”
She sees herself as bringing “the calm” to the group and describes herself as “the girl that people come to for advice and happiness.” In an exclusive interview, she teased what viewers can expect from her: “You can expect to see a real classy woman who’s very zen but tells it like it is.”
Angel’s background in mindfulness and meditation likely provides her with tools to navigate the inevitable conflicts that arise among the housewives. Her approach appears to be more measured and less reactive than some of her castmates, though she has promised to stand her ground when necessary.
Real Housewives of Potomac Season 10 Changes
The tenth season of The Real Housewives of Potomac premiered on October 5, 2025, on Bravo with episodes available for streaming the next day on Peacock. The season introduced significant cast changes beyond Angel’s addition.
Longtime housewife Karen Huger departed the show after being sentenced to jail time following a DUI conviction. Another familiar face, Mia Thornton, also exited the series after four seasons, announcing her move to Atlanta.
In addition to Angel, the other new housewife joining the cast is Tia Glover, a British-Nigerian luxury real estate advisor. The season also marks the return of Monique Samuels in a “friend of the housewives” capacity, stirring excitement among fans of the franchise.
The remaining returning cast members include Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Stacey Rusch, and Keiarna Stewart. This blend of familiar faces and fresh perspectives aims to bring what Bravo describes as “fresh reads” to a “new chapter” for the long-running series.
Angel’s official Bravo bio notes that she is “no stranger to the notion of legacy and has worked to build a family and career that will be remembered and revered by friends and strangers alike.” As she reestablishes herself in Potomac, viewers will see her navigate both old friendships and new business ventures while balancing family life.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, with episodes available for streaming the following day on Peacock.
