The much-anticipated series, “Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” starring Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won, has released a new teaser. The series, directed by Ahn Pan Seok, is set in Daechi, known for its abundance of hagwons (private educational institutions). The teaser reveals a heart-fluttering reunion between a teacher and her star student.
The series revolves around Seo Hye Jin (played by Jung Ryeo Won), a dedicated hagwon instructor, and her former student, Lee Joon Ho (played by Wi Ha Joon). Lee Joon Ho, once a source of pride for Seo Hye Jin, makes a surprising return to the hagwon as a novice instructor after leaving a promising career at a major corporation. This unexpected turn of events leads to a shift in their dynamics, evolving from “student Lee Joon Ho” to “teacher Lee Joon Ho.”
Despite Seo Hye Jin’s initial reluctance and her cautionary advice, “From here on, everyone except yourself will either attack you or exploit you,” Lee Joon Ho remains undeterred. His calm response, “Does that include you?” hints at a budding romance. As Lee Joon Ho becomes more direct in his romantic pursuit of Seo Hye Jin, he asserts, “I’ve run out of patience. Don’t push me away,” heightening anticipation for their midnight romance.
The series showcases Seo Hye Jin’s dedication as she goes above and beyond to help Lee Joon Ho secure a spot in a prestigious university. A decade later, Lee Joon Ho surprises everyone by returning to the hagwon, reconnecting with his long-standing, unrequited love, Seo Hye Jin. “Midnight Romance in Hagwon” is all set to premiere on May 11 at 9:20 PM KST and 5:50 PM IST, promising viewers a heart-fluttering experience.
