The suburban heists are officially back on the calendar. Apple TV has confirmed the return date for its dark comedy drama Your Friends and Neighbors, starring Jon Hamm. The show’s second season will start on Friday, April 3, 2026. Fans can watch one new episode each week until the season ends on Friday, June 5, 2026. The new season will add more trouble for Hamm’s character and welcome a famous new face to the neighborhood, James Marsden.

Mark your calendars for a spring return to Westmont Village. Apple TV announced the specific premiere date in a press release, setting the global debut for April 3, 2026. Unlike shows that release all episodes at once, this season will follow a weekly format.
The season contains 10 episodes. A new episode will become available every Friday. This schedule means the final episode of the season will stream on June 5, 2026. This weekly release plan is the same method used for the show’s first season.
Returning Cast and New Faces for the Next Season
The core group of actors from the first season is coming back. Jon Hamm leads the returning cast as Andrew “Coop” Cooper, the former hedge-fund manager turned suburban thief.
He will be joined again by his on-screen family and complicated social circle. Confirmed returning stars include:

The official description for the new season gives a clear direction for the story. It states: “In season two, Andrew Cooper doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbor threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk”.
This directly sets up the incoming threat, likely connected to James Marsden’s mysterious character. The first season ended with Coop at a crossroads. After surviving a murder frame-up and reconciling with his family, he was surprisingly offered his old job back. Instead of taking it, he chose to steal a valuable painting from his former boss, showing he has fully embraced his new criminal identity.
Creator Jonathan Tropper explained this character shift. โHeโs become a different person,โ Tropper said. โFor better or worse, heโs now operating on a level that no one else in his neighborhood operates on. And thatโs going to give him some advantageโand also, you know, presumably get him in more troubleโ.
Tropper also highlighted that a central theme of the coming season will be family. โOne of the things I wanted to focus onโฆ is the notion that, at the end, this show is about the Cooper family,โ he shared. โTheyโre starting to fracture and scatter. And his desire in holding on to his own status has to merge with his desire to sort of shore up the holes and knit his family back together in some wayโ.

The series was created by bestselling author Jonathan Tropper. It debuted its first season on April 11, 2025, and aired its finale on May 30, 2025. The show was a quick success for Apple TV+. In a notable show of confidence, the streaming service announced the renewal for a second season in November 2024, several months before the first season even premiered.
Jon Hamm, who also works as an executive producer on the show, talked about the early renewal. โIt is a tremendous vote of confidence, obviously, and honestly, theyโve never done it before, so we were the first one. It means weโre doing something right,โ Hamm said.
