HYBE employees have been caught making negative comments about the label’s own girl groups.
Comments made by HYBE employees on the online community Blind, which requires verification of users’ employment through work e-mails, have become a trending topic online. In the thread, the original poster and HYBE employee questions whether ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin is really behind the success of NewJeans and what NewJeans would be like without her. Other employees responded with their own comments, referring to HYBE subsidiary girl group LE SSERAFIM and other girl groups under the HYBE umbrella.
The conversation went as follows:

Can they even develop further? If it’s possible, why doesn’t it apply to existing groups? I’m saying this because I’m really curious.
zn2uie: Regardless of the label’s position, the girl groups you mentioned do need practice. We need to improve scheduling and other systems, so they have the energy and stamina to practice. However, HYBE’s mains are not girl groups technically. Basically, I think this is a testing period. That’s why I want to see NewJeans without Min Hee Jin so much.”
