ADOR Supports NewJeans’ Hanni in Bullying Allegations, Slams BELIFT LAB for False Claims

ADOR, the agency behind NewJeans, has made a strong public statement in support of Hanni following her workplace bullying allegations. In the statement, ADOR denounced BELIFT LAB, the agency of rival group ILLIT, for contradicting Hanni’s claims, calling their statement completely false.

The Bullying Allegations and Disagreement Between Agencies

Hanni previously alleged that an ILLIT manager instructed other members of the group to ignore her, instead of greeting her as they typically would. BELIFT LAB responded by denying these claims, stating that no such directive was given by their staff. However, despite the Ministry of Labor ruling that the incident did not constitute workplace harassment, the controversy remains unresolved, and the tension between the agencies continues to escalate.

On November 27, ADOR issued a statement backing Hanni, asserting that her recollection of the event was accurate and consistent. They noted that Hanni could recall the exact timeline of the incident, but also emphasized that it was unfair to expect a victim to remember every detail of a brief event.

ADOR Takes a Firm Stand

ADOR further criticized BELIFT LAB, stating that their stance was unreasonable and “too strict a standard for the victim.” The agency declared its full support for Hanni, reaffirming their trust in her version of events and urged BELIFT LAB to take the matter seriously.

The statement read:

“We completely trust Hanni’s account and ask BELIFT LAB not to take this situation lightly.”

Mixed Fan Reactions and Alleged Changes in ADOR’s Position

The statement from ADOR has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Some have expressed disbelief, calling it a “crazy switch up” since ADOR had initially seemed to dismiss the allegations. Others pointed out that Hanni and her parents had previously reached out to ADOR’s CEO Kim Joo Young for help but felt that their concerns were not given adequate attention. In fact, Hanni made her frustrations public during a National Assembly appearance, accusing Kim Joo Young of failing to protect the group.

“I don’t think you did everything you could. You said you would protect us in the first place, but you didn’t have the will to protect us or the ability to take action,” Hanni stated.

Potential Contract Termination

Additionally, it’s been revealed that NewJeans set a deadline of November 27 to address their demands. The group warned that if their concerns were not met, they would consider terminating their contracts. As the deadline passed, fans and netizens are curious if this situation will lead to further changes in the relationship between NewJeans, ADOR, and HYBE, their parent company.
