Netflix has dropped the official trailer for its newest mystery series, Agatha Christieโ€™s Seven Dials, setting the stage for a glamorous 1920s whodunit. The show, which brings one of the author’s classic novels to the screen, will be available for streaming starting January 15, 2026.

The story follows a young aristocrat, Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, played by Mia McKenna-Bruce, who turns detective after a shocking death at a lavish party. The trailer promises a mix of suspense, high society glamour, and a determined amateur sleuth who refuses to back down.

The Story Behind The Mystery

The plot kicks off in 1925 at a glamorous country house party. Bundle is charmed by the handsome Gerry Wade (Corey Mylchreest), who hints at a marriage proposal. The morning after the party, however, the mood shatters. Bundle discovers Gerry dead in his bed, surrounded by seven loudly ringing alarm clocks.

This strange scene is not an accident. Bundle believes the seven clocks are a deliberate clue, telling her mother, Lady Caterham (Helena Bonham Carter), “I’m not going to rest until I find out what happened to him”. Her investigation leads her to a shadowy secret society known as “the Seven Dials,” suggesting Gerry’s death was murder disguised as a prank gone wrong.

Meet The Characters And Cast

The series is led by Mia McKenna-Bruce as the fearless Bundle Brent. McKenna-Bruce describes her character as a relentless “go-getter” who pushes against the limits placed on women in the 1920s.

She is joined by an acclaimed supporting cast. Helena Bonham Carter plays her mother, Lady Caterham, a voice of caution who warns Bundle that looking for trouble is dangerous. Martin Freeman takes the role of Superintendent Battle, a Scotland Yard detective who finds himself both annoyed and impressed by Bundle’s independent investigating.

The circle of friends and suspects includes Edward Bluemel as Jimmy Thesiger and Nabhaan Rizwan as Ronnie Devereux, who assist Bundle with her case.

“It was really important to make Agatha Christie feel accessible to people who hadnโ€™t read her work but also hold on to the heart of those murder mysteries,” Mia McKenna-Bruce said about the production. “I really feel like we did what we set out to do”.

The Creative Team And Production

The series was adapted for television by Chris Chibnall, the writer known for shows like Broadchurch. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Suzanne Mackie and director Chris Sweeney, who directed all three episodes.

Filming took place in the summer of 2024, using locations in Bristol and Bath, England, to recreate the 1920s setting. Some scenes were also filmed in Ronda, Spain. The show is a production of Orchid Pictures, Imaginary Friends, and Agatha Christie Limited.

Global Release Information

Agatha Christieโ€™s Seven Dials will be released globally as a three-episode limited series. All episodes will be available at once for streaming on Netflix starting Thursday, January 15, 2026.

The series is rated 13+ on Netflix and is classified as a TV-14 show. It falls under genres like TV Dramas, British TV Shows, TV Mysteries, and Period Pieces.
