Alan Ritchson had a week full of highs and lows. The Reacher star finished his work on the upcoming fourth season of the hit Prime Video series, all while dealing with the fallout from a physical fight with a neighbor that went viral online. Now that police have officially cleared him of any wrongdoing, Ritchson is focusing on what comes next for Jack Reacher.
The actor shared a video on Instagram on March 24, confirming he completed the final post-production work for Season 4. This update came just one day after authorities in Brentwood, Tennessee, announced they would not file any charges against him following a weekend altercation. Ritchson described the period as a “crazy week” but ended it on a high note, promising fans that the new episodes are among the best the show has produced.
Ritchson Wraps Post-Production and Praises Season 4
From a recording booth, Ritchson shared a video for his 5.2 million followers. He explained that he was finishing Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) work for the show. ADR is a standard part of post-production where actors re-record dialogue in a studio to ensure the best audio quality for the final cut.
“Here we are in the ADR booth for the very last time for Season 4 of ‘Reacher’,” Ritchson said in the clip. “We are dunzos. This thing is going to be hitting the airwaves very soon. Best season yet.”
In the caption of his post, he reflected on the events of the past several days.
“Happy to be back in the booth after such a crazy week! That’s a wrap for me on post-production — #Reacher Season 4. This is, without a doubt the most gripping season yet. I think we hit our stride. Firing on all cylinders… as it were.”
The phrase “firing on all cylinders” seemed to be a subtle nod to the incident involving his motorcycle, which was central to the neighborhood dispute.
Police Clear Actor in Neighbor Altercation
The “crazy week” Ritchson mentioned started on March 22. A video obtained by TMZ showed a physical fight between the actor and a neighbor, later identified as Ronnie Taylor. The footage sparked widespread discussion online.
However, a second video emerged, this one appearing to be from a body camera worn by Ritchson. That footage told a different story. It showed Taylor stepping into the street to block Ritchson’s path as he rode his motorcycle with his two children. Taylor was heard accusing Ritchson of speeding through the neighborhood. The video showed Taylor pushing Ritchson off his bike, which led to the physical confrontation.
The Brentwood Police Department conducted a thorough investigation. On March 23, they announced their conclusion.
“After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued,” a statement from the department read. “Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense. Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges. With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case is now closed, and no further action will be taken.”
Taylor later told TMZ that he confronted Ritchson because he felt the actor was driving recklessly. He admitted to initiating physical contact during the argument.

What to Expect From Reacher Season 4
With post-production now finished for Ritchson, the focus shifts to the release of Reacher Season 4. The actor has previously confirmed that the new season will arrive in 2026, although Prime Video has not yet set a specific premiere date.
Ritchson has been sharing details about the scale of the upcoming season. In earlier interviews, he mentioned that Season 4 would feature nearly 30 fight scenes across its eight episodes, a significant increase compared to previous seasons. He explained that the goal is to make sure the action feels meaningful and serves the story, rather than just being spectacle.
The fourth season will adapt the novel Gone Tomorrow, the 13th book in Lee Child’s Jack Reacher series. The story takes place in New York City and involves Reacher getting involved in a case connected to a possible terrorist plot. The new season will also introduce several new cast members, including Christopher Marquette and Sydelle Noel.
Alongside the main series, the Reacher universe is expanding. A spin-off focused on the character Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, is also in development and is expected to arrive on Prime Video in the future.
The third season of the show became Prime Video’s most-watched returning season ever, earning over 54 million views in its first 19 days of release.
