Beyonce, the legendary singer, has created history with her latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter’. She has become the first black woman to rank number 1 on the Country Albums Chart in the history of country music. This is a significant achievement as she is the first black female artist to accomplish this feat since the chart’s inception in January 1964.
‘Cowboy Carter’ Tops Multiple Charts
Not only did ‘Cowboy Carter’ top the Country Albums chart, but it also reached the top slot on the Billboard 200, Americana/Folk Albums, and Top Album Sales charts. The album sold an impressive 407,000 equivalent album units in its first week of chart eligibility. This achievement marks Beyonce’s eighth album to top the Billboard 200.
In February, Beyonce became the first black female artist to top the Hot Country Songs chart with the album’s lead single, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’. This single took over the No. 1 slot from Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves’ duet ‘I Remember Everything’.
