BLACKPINK’s Lisa will join the cast of the dark comedy anthology series The White Lotus, which will start filming Season 3 in Thailand this month.
Lisa’s first acting role
Lisa, a member of the popular girl group BLACKPINK, has been confirmed to be part of the upcoming third season of The White Lotus, a HBO series that explores the lives and secrets of the guests and staff of a tropical resort. This will mark Lisa’s acting debut, as she will be working under her real name Lalisa Manobal. The series is expected to commence production in February in Thailand, Lisa’s home country.
Lisa is not the only BLACKPINK member to venture into acting, as Jennie had previously appeared in the Hollywood series The Idol, which followed the lives of aspiring singers in Los Angeles. Lisa and Jennie have also launched their own solo agencies, LLOUD and ODD ATELIER, respectively, to manage their individual activities. The two singers have also released successful solo albums, with Lisa’s LALISA breaking records for the most-viewed music video by a solo artist in 24 hours.
The White Lotus Season 3 cast and plot
The White Lotus is a dark comedy anthology series created by Mike White, who also serves as the writer and director. The first season, which aired in 2021, was set at a Hawaiian resort and featured an ensemble cast that included Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, and Steve Zahn. The second season, which is currently in production, will take place at a different resort in Europe and will star Michael Imperioli, Jemima Kirke, Molly Shannon, and Jon Gries.
The third season, which will feature Lisa, will have a new setting and a new cast of characters. The plot of The White Lotus Season 3 has not been revealed yet, but it is likely to follow the same format as the previous seasons, which involved a murder mystery and a satire of the privileged and wealthy guests and the exploited and oppressed staff of the resort. The series has been praised for its sharp humor, social commentary, and compelling performances.
