BLACKPINK’s Rosé has shattered records with her latest music video collaboration, “APT.,” featuring Bruno Mars. The track, released just last month, has set a new standard for the fastest K-pop solo music video to reach 300 million views on YouTube.
New Record-Breaking Milestone
On November 9, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m. KST, the music video for “APT.” crossed the 300 million views mark. Reaching this milestone in just 22 days, 6 hours, and 30 minutes from its release on October 18, 1 p.m. KST, the video has become the fastest MV of 2024 across all genres to achieve this view count on YouTube.
Breaking PSY’s Longstanding Record
By surpassing 300 million views at such speed, “APT.” also broke the previous record for a K-pop soloist’s music video, which had been held for over a decade by PSY’s 2013 hit “Gentleman.” PSY’s MV reached 300 million views in approximately 25 days, a record that remained unbeaten for 11 years until Rosé’s “APT.” reset the bar.
In addition to setting a new K-pop soloist record, “APT.” now stands as the sixth-fastest music video in YouTube history to reach this view count, cementing its status as one of the year’s standout releases.
Congratulations to Rosé on her latest achievement!
