Bobbi Althoff, the host of “The Really Good Podcast”, is going through a divorce with her husband of four years, Cory Althoff, a tech executive. According to TMZ, Cory filed for divorce earlier this week, citing irreconcilable differences. He also requested joint legal and physical custody of their two daughters, Luca, 3, and Isla, 1.
The reason for their split, however, has nothing to do with another man, but with Bobbi’s “skyrocketing fame”, the outlet reported. Her podcast, which features awkward and dry celebrity interviews, has gained a lot of popularity and attention in the past year, especially after she landed a big guest: Drake.
Cory Althoff, on the other hand, wants to “remain a normie” and is not comfortable with the spotlight that comes with being married to a famous podcaster, TMZ claimed. The couple reportedly separated on July 4, 2023, the same month that Bobbi interviewed Drake in a hotel bed.
Bobbi released a statement after the news of her divorce broke, saying that Cory is an “incredible father and person” and that she will “always love” him.
Bobbi Althoff’s Feud with Drake
Bobbi’s interview with Drake, which was supposed to be a career highlight, turned out to be a source of controversy and drama. The podcaster, who is known for her sarcastic and blunt questions, asked the rapper about his private jet, his dating life, his music, and his feud with Kanye West, among other things.
The interview, which was conducted in a hotel bed after Bobbi dropped everything to accommodate his tour schedule, even causing her to miss her youngest child’s first birthday, went viral online. Many fans praised her for her hilarious and fearless approach, while others criticized her for being disrespectful and rude to the famous rapper.
The following month, rumors started to circulate that Bobbi and Drake had hooked up after the interview, and that this caused a rift between them. Bobbi denied the allegations, telling Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy that they were “not true”.
However, something did happen between the podcaster and the rapper that led to their falling out. According to TMZ, Drake invited Bobbi to one of his concerts, but only as a general admission attendee. Bobbi was “furious” and “blew him up about it”, even trying to go backstage at one point.
The former momfluencer first found fame on TikTok in 2021, after posting relatable content which focused on her children and pregnancy experiences.
