This revelation is expected to push Yi Heon toward becoming the tyrant that Ji-young initially feared.
The finale will also answer the central mystery of how Ji-young traveled through time, which is linked to an old cookbook called the Mangunrok. The ultimate question remains whether Ji-yeong will choose to return to her own time in the future or stay in the Joseon era with the king.
Story Recap of Episode 10
The previous episode, Course Nº 10 Joseon Restaurant, ended with a major turning point in the relationship between the main characters. After Ji-young was falsely accused of poisoning the young Grand Prince Jin-myeong, Yi Heon fought to prove her innocence.
They discovered that squirrel droppings, when mixed with ginseng, were the real poison. Ji-young then prepared a special French-inspired soup that successfully cured the prince. In a tender moment, King Yi Heon confessed his feelings for Ji-young. He revealed that he knows she is from the future and asked her to stay by his side in the palace, sealing his request with a kiss and a ring.
