Netflix has revealed the pop songs that will receive the signature Bridgerton classical makeover in the first episode of Season 4. Fans eager to play “Name That Tune” during the premiere can expect to hear instrumental covers of hits by Coldplay, Usher, and Third Eye Blind as Benedict Bridgerton’s long-awaited love story begins. The information came during a special global premiere event in Paris, leading up to the release of Season 4, Part 1 on January 29, 2026.

Bridgerton Season 4 Episode 1 Soundtrack Details and Release Info

The first episode of the new season, titled “The Waltz,” features three orchestral pop covers that will set the scene at a lavish masquerade ball. The official song list for Episode 1 is:

  • “Life in Technicolor” by Coldplay, performed by Vitamin String Quartet.
  • “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” by Usher featuring Pitbull, performed by Strings From Paris.
  • “Never Let You Go” by Third Eye Blind, also performed by Vitamin String Quartet.

This musical selection continues the show’s famous tradition of weaving modern songs into its Regency-era setting, having previously featured covers of music by Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and BTS. The premiere episode will be available globally when Part 1 of Season 4 launches on Netflix on January 29, 2026. Part 2 will follow on February 26, 2026.

The Story Behind the Season 4 Soundtrack

The music is specifically tied to the romantic journey of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). The season focuses on his story, based on Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An Offer from a Gentleman. The plot begins at a masquerade ball hosted by his mother, Lady Violet Bridgerton. There, Benedict becomes fascinated by a mysterious guest known only as the “Lady in Silver”.

“These pop covers will play as the Bridgertons’ most bohemian family member, second son Benedict (Luke Thompson), embarks on his love story,” notes Netflix’s official announcement.

Unknown to Benedict, the object of his affection is Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a resourceful housemaid attending the ball in disguise. The search for her true identity drives his storyline. Showrunner Jess Brownell described this season as an exploration of “fantasy vs. reality,” with Benedict navigating the complexities of love beyond a perfect first meeting.

Benedict’s Season and New Faces in the Ton

After seasons centered on his siblings Daphne and Anthony, Season 4 is Benedict’s turn in the spotlight. He is characterized as the artistic and free-spirited middle Bridgerton son, who has previously shown little interest in marriage. His encounter with Sophie challenges that stance.

The cast welcomes several new actors alongside Yerin Ha as Sophie. Newcomers include Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun, Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, Isabella Wei as Posy Li, Masali Baduza as Michaela Stirling, and Gracie McGonigal as Hazel. Returning favorites and other evolving character arcs, such as Francesca Bridgerton’s relationship with John Stirling, will also continue.

Global Fan Events and the New Bridgerton Podcast

The soundtrack reveal was part of a larger “Season of Love” celebration by Netflix. This included a global premiere event in Paris on January 14, 2026, which was live-streamed for fans. The event featured red-carpet interviews and an early screening of the first episode, though many online viewers reported significant technical difficulties accessing the stream.

As part of the season’s launch, Netflix and Shondaland are also releasing “Bridgerton: The Official Podcast.” Hosted by Alison Hammond, the six-episode companion series will feature interviews with cast members like Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha, as well as creators like showrunner Jess Brownell and executive producer Shonda Rhimes. The first three podcast episodes will be released on January 29, with video versions available on Netflix in the U.S. and on YouTube for international audiences.
