After completing their military service, the global supergroup BTS is officially reuniting and preparing for their most ambitious tour yet. The group has announced a massive world tour scheduled for 2026, which is reported to include approximately 65 concert dates across the globe, aiming to reach over 4 million fans from May to December.
The tour will be the group’s first world tour since their record-breaking “BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage” series. This announcement comes after all seven membersโRM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkookโsuccessfully completed their mandatory military service, with the final member, Suga, returning on June 21, 2025. The band confirmed they are heading to the United States to begin working on new music for a group album set for release in spring 2026, right before the tour begins.
The 2026 World Tour Scale and Schedule
The BTS World Tour 2026 is shaping up to be the largest in the group’s history. While the official list of countries is yet to be announced, the tour is expected to span several months with an extensive number of shows.
Industry reports suggest the tour will run from May to December 2026, featuring around 65 shows in major cities across Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania. Each concert is expected to be held in large-scale venues, with potential audiences of over 60,000 fans per show. This ambitious schedule is a clear statement of the group’s comeback and their desire to connect with ARMYs worldwide after their hiatus.
New Group Album Precedes the Tour
The upcoming world tour will be in support of a new group album. The members have shared that they are deeply involved in the creative process for this release.
In a live stream on Weverse, the group stated, > “We are starting to work closely together on new music from July. It’s a group album, so it will contain the thoughts and ideas of every member. We are working on it with the same feelings we had when we first started.“
This new music will be their first full-group release since the start of their military service, building immense excitement for the stories and sounds they will share after their time apart.
A Look Back: The Road to Reunion
The group’s journey back to each other was a carefully planned chapter. The members began enlisting in the military starting with Jin in December 2022, followed by the others in stages. The final member to complete his service was Suga on June 21, 2025, marking the official end of the military period for all seven.
Their first official public reunion as a full group took place at J-Hope’s solo concert in Seoul during their 12th-anniversary FESTA celebrations in June 2025. The emotional reunion was confirmed by fans and media, showing the members together, including Suga, who was seen cheering with a official light stick. Jungkook and Jin even joined J-Hope on stage for a surprise performance, giving fans a thrilling preview of the synergy to come.
