BTS member Jungkook has set the internet on fire after his trainer Ma Sun-ho shared a rare gym selfie showing the singer’s new chest tattoo. The photo, posted on July 29, gives fans the clearest look yet at the colorful and intricate design.

The image quickly went viral, with fans praising Jungkook’s toned physique and bold ink. This comes after months of speculation about his tattoos following his military discharge in June 2025.

Jungkook’s Chest Tattoo Sparks Fan Frenzy

In the now-viral photo, Jungkook is seen wearing a black tank top, shorts, and a beanie while holding a coffee cup. His face is partly covered by a mask, but the focus is on his detailed chest tattoo, which extends from his left arm to the middle of his chest.

Trainer Ma Sun-ho, a well-known bodybuilder and star of Physical: 100, shared the image with a playful caption:

“Today is another JK and… Why you gotta go so hard? Training continues even in Korea.”

Fans immediately flooded social media with reactions, zooming in on the tattoo and admiring Jungkook’s muscular build.

“WE WERE NOT READY FOR THIS JUNGKOOK!”
“Omggggg we can see more clearly #JUNGKOOK’s chest tattoo—it’s looking so cool and sexy.”
“JEON JUNGKOOK!!! I wasn’t ready for this.”

The tattoo was first spotted in June during Jungkook’s performance at J-Hope’s HOPE ON THE STAGE concert. However, this is the first full, clear view of the design.

Jungkook’s Tattoo Artist Reveals the Inspiration

While the exact meaning of the tattoo remains unknown, Jungkook’s tattoo artist, PolyC, previously shared details about working with the BTS star.

“When we first met, he felt very self-conscious about his tattoos and was even too embarrassed to wear short sleeves during the summer. So, our shared goal became what we called the ‘Short-Sleeve in Summer Project.’”

PolyC suggested a vibrant, unique style instead of the usual black-and-grey tattoos to match Jungkook’s image as a global performer.

“Your current black-and-grey sleeve is something we see quite often. Why not try something more vibrant and unique—something that truly fits your career as JK? It might not be everyone’s taste, but you’re not like everyone else.”

Jungkook agreed, leading to the creation of his new colorful tattoo.

Jungkook’s Fitness Journey After Military Service

Since completing his military service in June 2025, Jungkook has been focused on fitness and music. Trainer Ma Sun-ho revealed that the singer has bulked up significantly, saying:

“He basically looks like a bodybuilder now.”

Ma also shared that five BTS members—Jungkook, V, RM, Jimin, and Suga—have been training together in the U.S. for their 2026 comeback.

Fans have noticed Jungkook’s physical transformation, with many praising his dedication to staying in top shape.

Mixed Reactions Over Starbucks Cup in the Photo

While most fans were excited about the tattoo reveal, some criticized Jungkook for holding a Starbucks coffee cup in the photo.

Starbucks is currently being boycotted in some regions due to its alleged support for Israel in the Gaza conflict. Some social media users called out the singer, while others defended him, saying the backlash was unnecessary.

BTS’s Upcoming Comeback and Jungkook’s Social Media Activity

Jungkook has been more active on Instagram lately, updating his profile picture and going live, which has increased excitement for BTS’s return.

The group is currently working on a new album, expected to release in 2026. With each new post, Jungkook keeps fans eagerly waiting for more updates.
