BTS V (Kim Taehyung) has become the strongest member of the group after completing his military service in the Special Forces, according to RM and Jungkook. The singers shared this update during a live Weverse broadcast on July 14. V’s intense training and discipline during his service have transformed his physique, leaving his bandmates impressed.

V’s Military Training Made Him Stronger Than RM and Jungkook

During the live session, RM and Jungkook admitted that V now outperforms them in strength and endurance. They explained that while they focused on bodyweight exercises, V trained with weights in the military.

Full conversation:

RM: We’re the fitness/workout team, right?
JK: We have to go again tomorrow, of course.
RM: Shocking news — Kim Taehyung is stronger than me now.
JK: He’s stronger than me too.
RM: The two of us, we’re both getting beaten by him right now.
JK: Right now.
RM: Yeah, I was pretty shocked.
Tae: “laughs”
RM: We mostly do bodyweight exercises, but Taehyung joined the special unit and started lifting weights. But now, his physique…
RM: He’s bigger than us. We can’t even finish the sets he does now.
Tae: But honestly, you guys just worked out for the first time in a while, but I’ve been doing it consistently.
RM: No, I’ve been working out too. I just didn’t add weight, but I was doing it too.
Tae: If you just do it for two weeks, I’m sure you’ll catch up to me.
RM: Two weeks is enough?
Tae: Two weeks is enough. Seriously. The reason is, JK only started weight training not long ago.
Tae: It’s been a short time. How long has it been for you? Has it been two months?
JK: Hmm, I don’t know. Since you started properly—
Tae: It’s probably been about, I think, two months. Two and a half?
RM: Anyway, I go every morning at 9:30 and work out now. But seriously, what Kim Taehyung is doing is unbelievable, guys. I’m going to lose in a fight now.
Tae: No way, that’s not true.
RM: So are you going to work out for two hours or something? That guy’s crazy.
Tae: I forced myself into the habit.

V joked that his bandmates could catch up in just two weeks, but RM disagreed, saying V’s workout routines are now much harder to match.

V’s Special Forces Achievements and Physical Transformation

V served in the Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Special Forces, one of the toughest military divisions. He earned the rank of Sergeant and was recognized as an ace marksman. His dedication also earned him a Special Warrior badge, an honor given to top-performing soldiers.

After his discharge, V continued weight training, which helped him build more muscle than RM and Jungkook. His bandmates revealed they struggle to complete the same workout sets as him.

RM: “We mostly do bodyweight exercises, but Taehyung joined the special unit and started lifting weights. Now, his physique… he’s bigger than us.”

V’s Recent Activities After Military Service

Since leaving the military, V has been busy with group activities and fashion events. He recently attended the Celine Spring 2026 show in Paris, where he turned heads with his stylish outfits. He also reunited with BTS in Los Angeles to work on their upcoming album.

Fans have praised V’s discipline and transformation, calling him an inspiration. His military achievements and fitness progress have made headlines worldwide.

Fans were thrilled to hear about V’s progress. Many took to social media to express their pride.

“V really came back from the military as a whole new person. His dedication is unreal!”
