BTS V (Kim Taehyung) has given fans a peek into his life after finishing military service. He shared photos from a golf outing, showing his playful side and love for the sport.
On June 18, V posted pictures on his personal social media with the caption, “It’s hot.” In one photo, he wore a green scarf and a light green mask, likely to protect himself from the sun. Another picture showed him standing on a golf course with the funny caption, “I’m the problem. It’s the problem.”
V was officially discharged from the military on June 10 after serving in the Special Task Force (SDT) under the Republic of Korea Army’s 2nd Corps Military Police Unit. During a live broadcast after his discharge, he said, “I want to repay my fans quickly. Thank you for waiting. I’ll show you a cool side of me.”
Fans have been excited to see V back in action. Many called him a “golf prodigy” after seeing his skills on the course. He also posted a video making a shot and joked, “Oh lord, have mercy. Today drained me.”
In another post, V shared a picture of a golf club with the caption, “Am I the problem, or is it them?” He also talked about buying lost golf balls online, finding one that belonged to someone who made a hole-in-one in 2020. He playfully asked, “How did you even do that?”
V has always loved golf. In 2022, a fan asked him about his golf skills, and he replied, “On a really good day, I’ve hit around 175–182 yards with a 7-iron.” He even joked that it was a “bit of a flex.”
Before his golf updates, V surprised fans with never-before-seen photos from his military days. His Instagram post, titled “Love Me Tete,” showed funny selfies, moments with fellow soldiers, and even a workout picture with actor Song Kang. Fans loved seeing this personal side of him.
During his military service, V achieved many milestones. His album Layover became the top-selling solo album in Japan for 2023. He also entered Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop charts with his song “Wherever U R.” Additionally, he won awards at the Seoul Music Awards and iHeartRadio Music Awards.
V also made headlines for his charity work. He donated 200 million Korean won (about $147,504) to help with wildfire recovery efforts in Korea. Fans also donated to animal welfare in honor of his late dog, Yeontan.
With V and RM now discharged, BTS is closer to a full reunion. Only SUGA remains in military service, set to finish on June 21. Reports say the group is planning a comeback in March 2026, their first full-group release since 2022.
Fans are thrilled to see BTS V enjoying his free time. His golf updates and military throwback photos have brought smiles to many. The excitement for BTS’s return continues to grow.
