Calling all Swifties and BTS ARMYs! This news is for you! BTS V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has shown his love for Taylor Swift by sharing her brand new song “Fortnight” on his Instagram story.

This exciting development comes just days after Taylor Swift dropped her highly-anticipated 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The album’s lead single, “Fortnight,” features the popular rapper Post Malone and is described as a powerful song about love and freedom.

For those who might not remember, BTS and Taylor Swift first met at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. Swfit even posted a picture of them together on Instagram, showing her admiration for the K-Pop group with the caption, “So great meeting you!! You’re killing it!!”

It seems the feeling is mutual! V’s decision to share “Fortnight” suggests he’s a true Swiftie at heart. This isn’t the first time BTS has shown their appreciation for other artists. The group, which includes V, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, and J-hope, are known for being big fans of many genres of music.

While V is currently serving his mandatory military service in South Korea, he’s still finding ways to connect with fans. His Instagram story showing his love for Taylor Swift’s new song is sure to delight fans of both artists!

Speaking of the military, BTS’s decision to enlist helped to avoid a potential controversy in South Korea. In the country, military service is required for all men under 30 years old. There are some exceptions for those who have made significant contributions to the nation, but this typically applies to athletes and classical musicians. Pop stars haven’t been included in the past.

By enlisting, BTS helped to show their commitment to their country and ensure fairness in the system. V enlisted in November of 2023 and is currently serving in a special task force. His discharge date is set for June 10th, 2025.

In the meantime, fans can keep up with V and the rest of BTS through their social media pages. And who knows, maybe we’ll see a collaboration between BTS and Taylor Swift someday? Now that would be something truly epic!
