BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has hinted at an upcoming project, calling it “a big deal,” sparking intense fan speculation about a potential cameo in Squid Game Season 3. The K-pop star recently completed his military service and is now preparing for his next career move, with ARMYs eagerly analyzing clues.
During a Weverse live session on June 20, V shared updates about his post-military life. He mentioned working hard on a new project, saying, “Maybe if we wait a little longer, I think it’ll come out. But it’s not really a big deal. Oh, but to me, it’s actually a big deal.” This vague yet exciting tease sent fans into a frenzy, with many guessing it could involve acting.
One strong theory is that V might appear in Squid Game Season 3, Netflix’s hit survival drama. Fans recall his viral Squid Game guard cosplay during BTS’ 2021 Permission to Dance on Stage concert in Los Angeles. His striking visuals in the red jumpsuit and black mask made headlines, with netizens praising his resemblance to the show’s mysterious guards.

V recently completed his mandatory military service in South Korea’s elite Counter-Terrorism Unit (Special Duty Team). He earned the rank of Sergeant and received overwhelming support from fans, with over 4.5 million messages sent to him via the military app Goondori—a record-breaking number.
“I think my time in the military was a period for me to reflect and realign both my body and mind. I feel I’ve rebuilt myself physically and mentally, and now I want to run straight to ARMY as soon as possible,” V said after his discharge.
