The stakes in the deadly truth-or-dare game have just been raised to a murderous level. In Episode 4 of Dare You to Death, which aired on January 15, 2026, the investigation takes a dark and personal turn with the shocking death of another student, Bell. The discovery of her body confirms the detectives’ worst fears: the game has escalated from threats to actual killings, and no one in the friend group is safe.
The Investigation into Bell’s Murder
The episode begins with a growing sense of unease when Bell does not show up for a crucial school presentation. Her friend Cherreen knows this is completely out of character and calls Jay for help. Jay, along with detectives Jade and Kamin, goes to Bell’s apartment. A strange smell leads them to a horrifying discovery: Bell’s lifeless body in her bathroom.
The forensic team, led by Doctor Tankhun, quickly gets to work. The initial findings point to a brutal and personal crime. Doctor Tankhun reports that the killer used an “inhumane method,” suggesting a strong personal vendetta against Bell. This theory gains traction when the detectives learn more about Bell’s past. Cherreen reveals that Bell had a violent history, including an incident where she assaulted another student with acid.
Doctor Tankhun notes, “The killer might have a personal vendetta against Bell because of the inhumane method they chose to kill her.”
A significant breakthrough comes from the forensic analysis. Traces of the drug Ketamine are found all over Bell’s room. Tankhun connects this to other unsolved cases, telling Kamin and Jade, “I’ve come across other bodies that contained Ketamine a while back. I’m sure the drugs came from the same source.” This clue shifts the investigation, pointing toward a possible drug-related motive or a killer with access to specific pharmaceuticals.
New Suspects and a Critical Clue
With Bell’s death officially a murder, Kamin and Jade focus on the group of friends, now calling themselves “the Avengers.” Their scrutiny falls on Tonkla, whose behavior seems suspicious. Reviewing camera footage from a merit-making ceremony held for Bell, the detectives see Tonkla showing Cherreen a dare letter. The letter has both Cherreen’s and Bell’s names on it.
The team tracks Tonkla to a garage. A search of his bag yields a critical piece of evidence: a flash drive. More importantly, they find the dare letter with Bell’s name circled. This is enough to take Tonkla into custody for further questioning. However, as they leave, Kamin spots a mysterious car parked outside, hinting that they might be under watch.
Tension and Flirtation Between Jade and Kamin
Amid the grim investigation, the complex relationship between Captain Jade and Inspector Kamin continues to evolve. Their dynamic is a mix of professional friction and growing romantic tension. The episode opens with the aftermath of their first kiss, which leaves Jade confused after Kamin pulls away.
Jade, frustrated by Kamin’s refusal to define their relationship, issues a bold ultimatum. He demands a clear answer within three days about both their living situation and the meaning of the kiss. Their interactions at the police station are filled with charged moments. Jade often flirts with Kamin, who tries to maintain a professional distance but clearly struggles to do so.
Their personal tension even spills into the investigation. When Doctor Tankhun repeatedly flirts with Kamin, Jade becomes visibly jealous, eventually pulling Kamin away from the conversation. This blend of personal drama and crime-solving is a hallmark of the series, which pairs a thriller narrative with a developing boys’ love (BL) romance.
