The final month of 2025 is set to deliver an spectacular finish to the year for K-drama fans. With a mix of top-tier actors and fresh stories, December’s lineup offers a perfect blend of mystery, romance, and action. From a teacher accused of murder to a superhero whose power depends on his cash, these new releases will give viewers plenty to enjoy during the holiday season.

A Star-Studded Mystery Thriller Kicks Off the Month

The Price of Confession starts its run on December 5 on Netflix. This thriller brings together an acclaimed cast including Jeon Do Yeon and Kim Go Eun.

The story centers on An Yun Su (Jeon Do Yeon), an art teacher whose life is shattered when her husband is murdered and she becomes the prime suspect. While imprisoned, she meets a mysterious inmate known as a “witch,” played by Kim Go Eun, who offers a dangerous deal. The series explores the complex secrets that unfold between these two women.

The drama is directed by Lee Jung-hyo, who is known for creating tense, psychological stories. With a total of twelve episodes, this Netflix Original promises to be a masterclass in suspense.

Romantic Reunions and Legal Dramas

The first week of December brings more than just thrills. On December 6, two major dramas premiere across different platforms.

Surely Tomorrow features Park Seo Joon as Lee Gyeong Do, an entertainment reporter who is assigned to cover a celebrity scandal. His investigation leads him to his first love, Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An), who is now married to a suspect in the case. This romantic comedy from JTBC explores whether former flames can rekindle their relationship under complicated circumstances. The series will be available on Prime Video.

Also premiering on December 6 is Pro Bono, a legal drama starring Jung Kyung Ho. He plays Kang David, a successful but materialistic judge who is forced to resign and becomes a public interest lawyer. He then partners with a passionate human rights attorney, played by So Ju Yeon, to take on cases for those who cannot afford legal help. This show will air on tvN and be available on TVING and Netflix.

Emotional Melodramas and High-Stakes Mystery

Mid-December introduces more emotional and mysterious stories to the lineup.

Love Me arrives on December 19 on JTBC. The series stars Seo Hyun Jin as Seo Joon Kyeong, a successful obstetrician-gynecologist who projects a confident image but hides deep loneliness from a family tragedy. Her life changes when a man sees through her facade and connects with her true self. This Korean remake of a Swedish series is set to be an emotional journey.

Also on December 19, Netflix releases the disaster film The Great Flood. Starring Kim Da Mi and Park Hae Soo, the movie is set in a future where a massive flood submerges the planet. Kim Da Mi plays An Na, an AI researcher trapped in a sinking apartment building, while Park Hae Soo plays a security team member trying to rescue her.

For fans of music and mystery, I Dol I premieres on December 22 on ENA and Genie TV. The show stars Sooyoung as Maeng Se Na, a brilliant criminal lawyer who is also a devoted fan of a top idol, played by Kim Jae Young. When her favorite star is accused of murder, she steps in to defend him, using both her legal skills and her knowledge of the celebrity world.

Historical Thrills and Superhero Action

The holiday week brings two major releases with very different themes.

Made in Korea premieres on December 24 on Disney+. This historical political thriller is set in the turbulent 1970s and features a powerful showdown between two men: Hyun Bin plays Baek Ki Tae, a ruthless man obsessed with power, while Jung Woo Sung plays Jang Gun Young, a prosecutor determined to stop his corrupt rise. With only six episodes, this limited series promises to be an intense watch.

Wrapping up the month on December 26 is the unique superhero story Cashero on Netflix. Based on a popular webtoon, the series stars Lee Jun Ho as Kang Sang Ung, an ordinary public servant with an extraordinary abilityโ€”his superhuman strength is directly tied to how much money he has in his possession. He is joined by other characters with unusual powers, including a lawyer who draws strength from alcohol and a woman with telekinetic abilities fueled by calories. Together, they form a team to protect their normal lives from villains.
