A fight ensued, and Ji-hyeok was overpowered, struck on the head, and left unconscious as the man set the office ablaze.
A Rescue and a Final Confession
The fire alarm triggered a full evacuation. Once outside, Da-rim and the team did a headcount and realized Ji-hyeok was missing. Without a second thought, Da-rim ran back into the smoke-filled building. She found Ji-hyeok unconscious in the locked office, broke in, and carried him to safety.
When Ji-hyeok regained consciousness outside, his first sight was a tearful Da-rim hugging him. Overwhelmed with emotion, he offered his clearest confession yet, moving beyond his earlier list of reasons.
“I just like you for who you are. You’re Go Da-rim. That’s why I like you,” Ji-hyeok told her.
This simple, definitive statement erased all of Da-rim’s remaining doubts. In response, she leaned in and kissed him, finally accepting his feelings and her own. The dramatic rescue cemented their emotional bond, turning a moment of extreme danger into the start of their official relationship.
