Episode 13 of Dynamite Kiss saw the central relationship pushed to its breaking point. After being framed for corporate spying, Go Da-rim (Ahn Eun-jin) chose to protect her boyfriend by pushing him away, leading to a painful breakup. Meanwhile, Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) refused to give up on her, racing against time to uncover the truth.

The episode began with fallout from a major company crisis. A new product developed by Da-rim was stolen and launched by a competitor first. Ji-hyeokโ€™s ambitious half-sister, Ji-hye, used this disaster to attack both Da-rim and her brother. She convinced their father, the company CEO, that Da-rim was a spy who used her romantic relationship with Ji-hyeok to steal secrets. The situation escalated when the CEO publicly slapped Da-rim, humiliating her in front of the entire office.

An audit found that incriminating emails were sent from Da-rim’s computer. While she maintained her innocence, the evidence and her initial lie about being a married mother to get the job made her a perfect target. Privately, Ji-hye pretended to be Da-rim’s ally. She claimed to believe Da-rim was innocent but warned that Ji-hyeok would lose his position in the upcoming shareholder meeting because Da-rim was on his team.

Ji-hye pressured Da-rim by saying Ji-hyeok would be removed from his positionโ€ฆ To protect him, Ji-hye asked Da-rim to take full responsibility.

This manipulation worked. To shield Ji-hyeok from career ruin, Da-rim agreed to the scheme. She signed a document confessing to corporate espionage.

Carrying the heavy burden of her false confession, Da-rim met Ji-hyeok and ended their relationship. She told him she was responsible for the spying, creating a major rift between them. A heartbroken Ji-hyeok, however, did not believe her cold words. He was determined not to let her go.

Da-rim, emotionally exhausted, finally told her mother everything about the lies and the investigation. Overwhelmed with guilt for the pressure her daughter faced, Da-rim’s mother apologized, and the two left their home to stay with Da-rim’s aunt for a fresh start.

While Da-rim tried to recover, Ji-hyeok began his own investigation. His assistant noticed suspicious activity by a man at their office building. This man was later connected to a previous act of sabotage at the company, directly linking the framing to Ji-hye’s schemes. Armed with new evidence, Ji-hyeok visited Da-rim at her aunt’s home. He reassured her, telling her he had found proof that she was set up and vowed to clear her name.

The episode built to a climax during a critical shareholder meeting. Ji-hye presented her case against Da-rim to the board, displaying Da-rim’s falsified job application on a large screen as proof of her deceitful character. Just as it seemed Da-rim had been successfully condemned, Ji-hyeok arrived. He interrupted the meeting, confidently stating he had evidence that would prove Da-rim did not sabotage the company.

The episode ended on this tense note, with Ji-hyeok poised to defend Da-rim’s innocence in front of the entire board.

Away from the main corporate drama, a significant moment unfolded for the secondary couple. Concerned about her daughter Ha-young’s sadness, Ha-young’s mother visited Seon-u (Kim Mu-jun) at his remote home. She was instantly charmed by his young son, Jun, and was ready to welcome both of them into her family.

However, Seon-u was surprisingly honest. He did not take advantage of the situation. Instead, he told Ha-young’s mother that her daughter deserved someone who could genuinely return her love. This painful but necessary rejection provided a stark contrast to the web of lies complicating the main relationship.

A preview for the series finale, released after Episode 13, immediately raised new alarms for viewers. It hinted at a looming crisis for Ji-hyeok, with scenes suggesting he was struck by a car. The preview showed a desperate Da-rim running through a hospital corridor, calling out his name, leaving fans anxious about whether the couple would achieve a happy ending.

However, newly released photos from the final episode offer hope. They show Ji-hyeok and Da-rim reuniting at a sparkling party venueโ€”the very place where they shared their first “dynamite kiss” while pretending to date. In the images, they are shown stepping toward each other and eventually sharing a tight embrace, suggesting an emotional reconciliation.

The production team stated, โ€œThis will be a very important moment that puts the final punctuation mark on their love storyโ€.

The final episode (Episode 14) of Dynamite Kiss was scheduled to air on Wednesday, December 25, 2025.

The series is available for international audiences on Netflix.
