Baekhyun of EXO has made history again. His fifth mini-album, ‘Essence of Reverie’, sold over 1 million copies in just three days. This marks his fourth consecutive million-selling album, proving his strong solo career.
The album was released on May 19, 2025, and by May 21, it had already crossed 1,035,844 sales according to Hanteo Chart. This beats his previous record set by ‘Hello, World’, which took five days to reach the same milestone.
‘Essence of Reverie’ also set another record. It became the highest first-day sales for a K-pop solo artist in 2025, with 784,000 copies sold on May 19. The album features tracks like “Elevator,” “Chocolate,” “Lemonade,” and “Late Night Calls.”
Baekhyun’s agency, INB100, confirmed the achievement. They stated that four out of his five solo albums have now sold over a million copies. This consistency makes him one of the most successful soloists in K-pop.
The album explores themes of reality and dreams, reflecting Baekhyun’s personal journey. He also contributed to writing and composing, making it more personal for fans. The album comes in multiple versions, including Essence, Reverie, Kiwee, and Kkuru Jam editions.
