Fallout Season 2 Episode 4 will be available to stream on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. This episode marks the halfway point of the eight-episode season, which is scheduled to conclude on February 4, 2026. After a strong start to the season and a major cliffhanger in the previous episode, fans are set to get the next chapter of the story with a weekly release.
Release Time and Global Schedule
The fourth episode follows the standard weekly release schedule. On January 7, it will become available on Prime Video at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) in the United States, which corresponds to 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT). For viewers around the world, this translates to the following local times on Thursday, January 8, due to time zone differences:
- 8:00 AM in the United Kingdom
- 9:00 AM in Central European Time zones
- 1:30 PM in India
- 7:00 PM in Sydney, Australia
The first episode of the season premiered a day earlier than originally planned on December 16, but the schedule has since settled into a regular weekly pattern every Wednesday. Unlike the first season, which released all episodes at once, Season 2 is following a weekly episode release model.
What Happened Before Episode 4?
Episode 3, “The Profligate,” ended with significant consequences for several characters. Maximus made a critical choice by killing Paladin Xander Harkness, a representative from the powerful Commonwealth chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel. He did this to stop Harkness from executing a group of ghoul children and their leader, Thaddeus. This act of defiance could start a major conflict within the Brotherhood of Steel.
Meanwhile, Lucy was captured and crucified by Caesar’s Legion, a faction that has split into rival groups following the death of its leader. The Ghoul negotiated her release by trading the location of an NCR camp to the Legion, but he also secretly sabotaged the camp, reigniting war between the Legion factions.
In other storylines, Norm MacLean successfully led the cryogenically frozen Vault-Tec executives out of Vault 31 to the surface. Their father, Hank MacLean, continues his experiments with the mind-control chips that caused the destruction of Shady Sands years earlier. The season also introduced Area 51 as the new base for Maximus’s Brotherhood chapter, where they casually discovered the existence of frozen aliens, known as Zetans in the Fallout universe.
Cast and Characters for the New Season
The core cast from Season 1 returns for the new episodes. This includes Ella Purnell as the optimistic vault dweller Lucy MacLean, Aaron Moten as Brotherhood of Steel Knight Maximus, and Walton Goggins as the centuries-old bounty hunter The Ghoul (also known as Cooper Howard in pre-war flashbacks).
Other returning main cast members are Moisรฉs Arias as Lucy’s brother Norm, Kyle MacLachlan as their father Hank MacLean, and Frances Turner as Barb Howard, Cooper’s wife and a high-ranking Vault-Tec executive.
Season 2 has introduced new recurring characters portrayed by well-known actors. Justin Theroux plays Robert House, the legendary CEO of RobCo Industries and ruler of the New Vegas Strip. Macaulay Culkin appears as a legate within Caesar’s Legion, and the late Kumail Nanjiani guest-starred as Paladin Xander Harkness. Sarita Choudhury, Leslie Uggams, and Xelia Mendes-Jones also return in key recurring roles.

Where to Watch and Episode Details
Fallout is an exclusive series for Amazon Prime Video. To watch the new episodes, you need an active subscription to the Prime Video service.
Following the pattern of the first season, each episode of Season 2 is expected to have a runtime close to one hour. The first three episodes were titled “The Innovator,” “The Golden Rule,” and “The Profligate”. The official title for Episode 4 has not yet been publicly announced, but it is written by Jane Espenson.
The show has been officially renewed for a third season. Executive producer and game director Todd Howard has hinted that future seasons can expand the story further by jumping to new locations and timelines.
“I don’t wanna spoil anything, but what I would say is the show has an opportunity more so than a single game to pull things because we can jump locations, we can jump timelines,” Howard explained.
