The FBI team is heading into the holidays with a major case. Episode 9, titled “Lone Wolf,” is not a standalone story. It is the first part of a special two-hour season finale event that will air on Monday, December 15, 2025. The episode starts at a special earlier time of 8:00 PM Eastern Time on CBS, followed immediately by Episode 10, “Wolf Pack,” at 9:00 PM. This double episode brings a tense, city-wide crisis to the screen just before the holidays.
What Happens in FBI Season 8 Episode 9 “Lone Wolf”?
The festive mood at the bureau is quickly interrupted by a grim discovery. The team investigates the murders of three victims found inside a brownstone. The official description notes that the victims were sex workers, and what first appears to be a single crime soon points to a much larger, more dangerous plan by the killer.

As agents Maggie Bell and OA Zidan work on the case, Jubal Valentine‘s personal life collides with the job. He receives a concerning phone call from his son, Tyler, adding another layer of stress. The episode mixes the personal holiday plans of the characters with a race to stop a growing threat.
The Two-Hour Finale: Episode 10 “Wolf Pack”
The story that begins in Episode 9 escalates dramatically in Episode 10, “Wolf Pack.” The situation erupts into city-wide chaos when an attack disrupts cell phone service, internet, and emergency communications across New York.
The team’s investigation leads them to a radical accelerationist movement. This group’s goal is to create societal collapse, aiming to reset society through violence and disruption. The agents must race against time to uncover the culprits and stop the escalating attacks while the city is in panic.
