Final Destination Bloodlines Streaming Details

The movie will be available on HBO Max from August 1, just 77 days after its theatrical release. It will also air on HBO TV the next day at 8 PM ET as part of a full Final Destination marathon. The marathon starts at 12:10 PM ET with the original 2000 film and ends with Bloodlines in the evening.

The film was first released in theaters on May 16, 2025, and later became available for digital purchase on June 17. The DVD and Blu-ray versions were released on July 22.

“We love the movie that gives you all the feelings,” said co-director Adam Stein. “This is the first Final Destination about a family, so it was important that the deaths mean something.”

What Is Final Destination Bloodlines About?

The story follows Stefani Reyes (played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana), a college student haunted by nightmares of a 1968 tower collapse. She returns home to seek help from her grandmother, Iris (Brec Bassinger and Gabrielle Rose), who once cheated death. Now, death is coming for their entire family.

The movie introduces a new twistโ€”instead of random strangers, this time, death hunts a bloodline. The film also brings back Tony Todd as William Bludworth, the mysterious mortician, in his final role before his passing in 2024.

“He really wanted to be in this movie,” said director Zach Lipovsky. “We crafted a narrative around him to give his character an origin story.”

Why Is This Movie Special?

Final Destination Bloodlines is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, surpassing $200 million worldwideโ€”a first for the series. Critics praised its mix of horror, humor, and emotional depth. It holds a 93% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie features practical effects alongside CGI, though some fans noted the deaths felt less realistic than in earlier films. However, the opening disaster sceneโ€”set in a high-rise restaurantโ€”has been called one of the best in the series.
