Saena, Aran, and Sio, former members of the popular K-pop group FIFTY FIFTY, are preparing for their re-debut as part of a new girl group named ablume. This development comes after their legal dispute with ATTRAKT, the agency that managed their previous group, FIFTY FIFTY. The trio has now signed exclusive contracts with MASSIVE E&C, a subsidiary of IOK Company, and will be moving forward under the new management.
Formation of ablume and Their New Direction
On October 15, 2024, MASSIVE E&C officially announced the creation of ablume, introducing Saena, Aran, and Sio as the core members of the new three-piece group. According to MASSIVE E&C, ablume derives its name from the German word “Blume,” meaning flower, symbolizing the members’ personal and artistic growth. The agency emphasized that the group’s name represents the journey of these artists as they “bloom” into their unique styles and voices, marking a new chapter in their careers.
Their debut is highly anticipated by fans who followed them during their time with FIFTY FIFTY. During that period, the group achieved considerable success, especially with their hit song Cupid, which gained international popularity. However, internal conflict between FIFTY FIFTY members and their management led to a legal battle over contractual issues. The contracts of Saena, Aran, and Sio with ATTRAKT were terminated in November 2023, following months of disputes over financial settlements. After parting ways with ATTRAKT, the three members quickly found a new home in MASSIVE E&C, a company that has promised to help them achieve even greater success on a global scale.
The Legal Battle With ATTRAKT
The transition of these three former FIFTY FIFTY members from ATTRAKT to ablume did not come without controversy. In June 2023, Saena, Aran, and Sio, along with former bandmate Keena, filed a lawsuit against ATTRAKT, citing the company’s failure to provide proper settlement statements. Despite the court initially dismissing their case, the members continued to fight for what they believed was right, ultimately resulting in the termination of their contracts. The trio later filed a civil lawsuit demanding 301 million KRW from the agency, further solidifying their intent to move forward independently.
Meanwhile, Keena remains with ATTRAKT as part of the restructured FIFTY FIFTY lineup, now joined by four new members. The new group lineup was introduced in August 2024, marking a fresh start for both FIFTY FIFTY and ablume as they embark on separate journeys within the K-pop industry.
Where to Follow ablume
Fans eager to keep up with Saena, Aran, and Sio in their new group, ablume, can follow them on social media. The group has launched official accounts on platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Facebook. These platforms will offer fans the latest updates on the group’s upcoming debut and other promotional activities, ensuring that their global fanbase stays connected as the trio embarks on this exciting new venture.
According to MASSIVE E&C, ablume’s music will reflect a blend of creative styles that emphasize the individuality of each member, while still coming together to create something harmonious and vibrant. As their debut approaches, fans are excited to see how ablume will differentiate themselves from their previous work and how their new label will support them in the competitive world of K-pop.
