Fans of the Prime Video superhero universe are waiting for news about Gen V Season 3. The show’s second season ended in October 2025, and many viewers want to know if Marie Moreau and her friends will return to Godolkin University.
Jaz Sinclair, who plays the lead role of Marie, recently gave a direct answer about the show’s status. She told fans she has no information about a third season. Her words came during an interview while promoting the final season of The Boys.
Sinclair explained that even she does not know what Amazon has planned for the spin-off series. “I have not. I don’t know anything as far as what the future holds,” the 31-year-old actress said. She added that she trusts the writers with her character’s journey but has received no official word on renewal.
The Boys Star Laz Alonso Gives Hopeful Hint About Gen V Season 3
While Sinclair says she knows nothing, another franchise star gave a more positive hint. Laz Alonso, who plays Mother’s Milk on The Boys, spoke at Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con 2026 about the future of the universe.
Alonso mentioned that two shows will carry the franchise forward after The Boys ends. “You got Gen V and then Vought Rising, which are the two shows that gonna probably continue the legacy as we finish our chapter in storytelling,” Alonso said during a panel with co-star Karl Urban.
This comment gives fans reason to believe that Prime Video sees value in keeping Gen V alive. The show follows young supes at Godolkin University, where Vought finds new members for The Seven. But Alonso’s words are not an official green light from the streaming service.
What Eric Kripke and Michele Fazekas Said About Season 3
The people who make the show have also talked about what a third season would need. Eric Kripke, who runs The Boys and helps produce Gen V, gave a direct answer about the show’s chances.
Kripke told Nerdist that the team has ideas ready. “No, we’ve discussed it, and we have some great story ahead for Gen V that we would love to tell,” Kripke said. But he made one thing clear. “It’s gonna depend on the ratings. It’s gonna be up to the audience. How many people are tuning in, how many people are watching, is it enough to justify Amazon giving us a third season?”
Michele Fazekas, the showrunner for Gen V, also shared her thoughts. She told The Hollywood Reporter that she does not expect to return if the show gets another season. “I don’t think I could. Obviously, there is timing, but no, and that’s OK. I’m very happy with my work on the show,” Fazekas said.
Gen V Season 2 Finale Sets Up The Boys Season 5
The second season of Gen V ended with a big moment that connects directly to The Boys Season 5. Marie and her friends joined a resistance group led by Starlight and A-Train. This team is getting ready to fight Homelander’s government.
Kripke explained how the two shows work together. “They are playing an important part,” he said about the Gen V characters in The Boys’ final season. But he also noted that each show stands on its own. “The Boys is about The Boys, and Gen V is about Gen V. The characters provide crucial assists, but it’s still about The Boys.”
The first two episodes of The Boys Season 5 will arrive on April 8, 2026, on Prime Video. Viewers in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and India can watch the final season on the same date. The complete season schedule has not been announced yet.
Marie Moreau’s Role in The Boys Season 5
Sinclair will appear in the final season of The Boys. A recent trailer confirmed her character’s presence. The actress said she felt grateful to join the main show. “When I found out that I was gonna get to be on the show, I just felt so grateful, truly, because it’s such an incredible feat, the show that they made,” Sinclair told The Hollywood Reporter.
She could not share many details about her role. “I can’t say anything. I wish I could,” Sinclair said. She did confirm that London Thor, who plays Jordan Li on Gen V, also filmed scenes with her. “We had a lot of fun filming together. That’s about all I can say.”

What Happened in Gen V Season 2
The second season of Gen V dealt with heavy topics. The writers had to handle the death of Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson. Perdomo died in a motorcycle accident in March 2024 before filming finished. The show wrote his character’s death into the story.
Fazekas said the writers changed many plans after losing Perdomo. “I don’t think we would have had this finale. I think it would have turned into a very different season,” she explained.
The season also showed Marie becoming more powerful. Other characters faced personal changes. Jordan and Marie broke up. Emma chose to focus on herself. The finale did not wrap everything up neatly, leaving room for more stories.
