Recent reports suggesting that Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has surpassed ₹1000 crore in pre-release business have sparked significant interest. In a press conference held in Hyderabad, producer Ravi Shankar from Mythri Movie Makers provided clarity regarding the film’s financial performance prior to its release.
Breakdown of Pushpa 2‘s Pre-Release Business
During the event, Ravi Shankar detailed the film’s theatrical and non-theatrical revenue, explaining how the estimates were derived. He mentioned that while Pushpa 2 performed exceptionally well in its non-theatrical segment, bringing in ₹425 crore, the overall estimate for the pre-release business, including theatrical revenue, makes the ₹1000 crore figure seem possible but not yet confirmed.
According to Sacnilk.com, the breakdown of the film’s rights includes:
- Theatrical rights: ₹600 crore worldwide
- OTT rights: ₹275 crore
- Satellite rights: ₹85 crore
- Music rights: ₹65 crore
These figures indicate a robust financial outlook for the film ahead of its release on December 5.

Lakshmi Kanth Reddy of N Cinemas shared insights on the expected performance in Karnataka, stating, “We anticipate crossing ₹90 crore in business here. KGF released in 350 single screens and 80 multiplexes; we plan to allocate more screens for Pushpa 2. Maybe it’ll even exceed Kantara’s business.”
Strong Screen Presence
AGS Entertainment, known for producing Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), reported that Pushpa 2 will feature 806 screens across 539 locations. They expressed hopes that this film will achieve a significant opening, especially in Tamil Nadu, a region where major stars like Vijay, Ajith, and Rajinikanth have historically dominated box office numbers.
Anil Thadani of AA Films, who previously supported blockbusters like Baahubali and KGF, expressed confidence in Pushpa 2, stating, “I was fortunate to back Pushpa: The Rise, and I hope history repeats itself.”
