Comedian Moon Se Yoon recently shared a funny anecdote about how Hyeri‘s directness led him to quit smoking. The story came up during a reunion with his “Amazing Saturday” co-stars, Hanhae and Boom, on Boom’s YouTube channel.

The trio reminisced about their time on the show. Hanhae shared how his perception of Boom changed over the years, going from thinking their vibes didn’t match to recognizing Boom as a warm person. They also joked about how P.O and Key were the ones who really pushed the limits with teasing, while Boom always stayed within appropriate boundaries.
Boom then brought up Hyeri’s role as the “hangover detective” on set. He explained how she could always tell when the older members had been drinking the night before, and she wasn’t shy about calling them out. “She would yell during the shoot, ‘Ah, this oppa reeks of alcohol! Get away from me!’” Boom recalled.
Hyeri’s Impact
This led Moon Se Yoon to share his own experience with Hyeri’s frankness. He described how he and Dong Hyun used to sit at the end of the “Amazing Saturday” set, but one day, he was moved to the center, right next to Hyeri.
After a cigarette break, Moon Se Yoon returned to his seat, and Hyeri immediately reacted. “As soon as I sat down, Hyeri suddenly screamed, ‘Ugh! Cigarette smell!’” he recounted. “She yelled at me, ‘Why do you smoke? It stinks!’”
Moon Se Yoon, feeling embarrassed, asked to switch seats and eventually returned to his original spot. He humorously noted that Shin Dong Yup pretended not to hear anything during the whole exchange. Boom confirmed Hyeri’s influence on the set, saying, “At that time, Hyeri was the leader.”
Moon Se Yoon then made a surprising confession: “So I quit smoking (thanks to Hyeri).”
