K-pop stars BTS’s j-hope, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, and Stray Kids’ Felix shared playful moments as global ambassadors for Louis Vuitton at the brand’s largest flagship store opening in Seoul. Videos from the after-party showing Lisa and j-hope’s friendly interaction have gone viral online, with fans celebrating the rare crossover between the major idol groups.

The event, held on Wednesday, December 3, launched LV The Place Seoul, a massive new cultural and retail space in the city’s Myeongdong shopping district. The gathering drew a large crowd of Korean celebrities, including actors Gong Yoo, Jun Ji-hyun, Shin Min-ah, and model Jung Ho-yeon. The focus, however, remained on the three music artists, whose joint appearance created significant excitement across social media platforms.

Viral Moments and Fan Reactions from the Event

While the official event was stylish, candid moments from the after-party captured the most attention. A video shared widely online shows Lisa and j-hope seated closely together at a table. In the clip, Lisa is seen leaning in to speak directly into j-hope’s ear, likely to be heard over the noise of the party. In response, j-hope gently touches her arm and appears to encourage her to take a sip of water. The comfortable and friendly nature of their interaction resonated strongly with fans online.

Social media users expressed delight at seeing members from two of the world’s biggest K-pop groups interacting so naturally. Many comments focused on how the moment positively countered long-standing competitive tensions between some segments of their fanbases.

An X user commented: “OMG LISA AND JHOPE REALLY WENT FROM ‘STANDING NEXT TO YOU’ TO SITTING NEXT TO YOU HAHA… LOVE HOW FANWARS CANT DENY THEIR FRIENDSHIP.”

Other fans shared their excitement simply at seeing a “BangPink” interaction, a term used for moments involving BTS and BLACKPINK members. “loving the bts and blackpink crumbs we’ve gotten and hobi and lisa are so comfortable together,” wrote another fan on X. The presence of Stray Kids’ Felix alongside them led some to label the trio the “holy trinity” of the event, with fans hoping for a future music collaboration.

Fashion Highlights and Star-Studded Attendance

The Louis Vuitton event was a major fashion moment, with each K-pop ambassador showcasing a distinct style. Lisa made a bold statement in a sheer, flowy gown with sculptural sleeves and black contour details. She accessorized the look with full, wavy hair.

j-hope chose a sophisticated, warm-toned neutral outfit consisting of a tailored jacket and wide-leg trousers. His look served as a subtle backdrop for the main attraction: his exclusive collaboration sneakers with Louis Vuitton. The pink suede “Buttersoft” sneakers, featuring oversized LV initials and a retro-runner sole, are set for release in South Korea on March 20, followed by a global launch in May.

Felix of Stray Kids arrived in a crisp, all-white ensemble. He wore a structured jacket with metallic LV hardware and paired it with tailored flared trousers, creating a polished and futuristic look.

The guest list extended beyond music, featuring a who’s-who of Korean entertainment. Notable attendees included veteran actor Gong Yoo, celebrated actress Jun Ji-hyun, and Jung Ho-yeon, the model and actress from the global hit “Squid Game”. The event also drew international fashion figures like makeup artist Pat McGrath, the creative director for Louis Vuitton’s beauty line.

Inside LV The Place Seoul: A New Cultural Landmark

The party celebrated more than just fashion; it marked the opening of a significant new space. LV The Place Seoul is now Louis Vuitton’s largest flagship store in the world. Located within the Shinsegae The Reserve complex, the venue spans six floors and over 53,720 square feet.

The space is designed as a hybrid cultural destination, combining retail with large-scale art exhibitions, beauty counters, and dining options. j-hope mentioned that the “Music Room,” decorated in mint tones, particularly stood out to him. He said, “The use of mint tones — a color palette I’m naturally drawn to — made a strong visual impact, and having music integrated into the space made it feel even more meaningful.”

Felix shared a similar sentiment, describing the experience as magical. “I thought everything was very magical. It felt like I was stepping into another dimension,” he said. He also noted the connection between the Fashion Room and the Music Room, where he saw vinyl records and pieces from the brand’s runway shows.

The opening highlighted Louis Vuitton’s deepening ties with Korean culture. Artist Takashi Murakami was present, sketching directly onto guests’ bags. Korean designer Lie Sang Bong praised the brand’s commitment, stating, “When international brands launch in Korea, they don’t usually come in person — but seeing them elevate our culture like this is remarkable.”
