The upcoming SBS drama “Dynamite Kiss” has released a new teaser, showing a complicated relationship between the main characters. The video reveals a conflict after a romantic beginning, with Jang Ki Yong’s character trying to get Ahn Eun Jin’s character fired from her job.
The story follows Go Da Rim, a single woman who pretends to be a married mother to get a job, and her team leader, Gong Ji Hyeok, who falls in love with her. Their relationship becomes difficult after he finds out about her fake identity.
From A Perfect Kiss To A Complicated Lie
The drama begins with a strong connection between the two main characters. A teaser video shows Gong Ji Hyeok asking about what makes a “perfect kiss,” with the answer describing it as “an explosive chemical reaction from two souls becoming entangled as one.”
Their first meeting happens in Jeju, where they decide to pretend to be a couple. Gong Ji Hyeok asks Go Da Rim to act as his girlfriend for a party, offering to pay her for the service. He tells her, “I bet Kim Jung Kwon is going to feel a lot of regret today.” After she agrees, he develops real feelings for her and asks her on a real date, saying, “I want to spend tomorrow with you as well. Should we extend our couple [act] for one more day? Not for business. I’m asking you on a date.”
After they share a meaningful kiss, Go Da Rim disappears without leaving any contact information. Gong Ji Hyeok, who is deeply affected by her, searches for her everywhere but cannot find her.
A Shock At The New Workplace
Go Da Rim faces difficult family circumstances and needs to find a job quickly. She applies for a position that requires her to be married with children and lies on her application, pretending to have a six-year-old child. She asks her friend Kim Sun Woo to pretend to be her husband for six months.
After she gets the job, she is shocked to discover that Gong Ji Hyeok works at the same company. He is both confused and angry to see her, demanding to know, “Why did you tell me that you didn’t have a boyfriend?” Go Da Rim awkwardly explains her situation by saying, “I don’t have a boyfriend. It’s just that I have a husband.”
This misunderstanding makes Gong Ji Hyeok furious, and he tells her to quit her job. When she refuses, he decides to get her fired. The production team describes their relationship as moving between a “loathing relationship” and romance.
A Deeper Conflict And A Confession
The situation becomes more complicated when Gong Ji Hyeok meets Kim Sun Woo, who introduces himself as Go Da Rim’s husband. Gong Ji Hyeok then sees Kim Sun Woo with another woman, Yoo Ha Young, and mistakenly believes he is cheating on Go Da Rim.
This leads to a difficult situation for Gong Ji Hyeok, who feels torn about whether to tell Go Da Rim what he saw. In a moment of frustration, he mutters, “Are they both insane?!”
Despite his efforts to get her fired, Gong Ji Hyeok cannot ignore his feelings for her. Go Da Rim tells him, “I think you’re a really good person. Just because I’m a member of your team, you’re so nice to me. But when you do that, my heart sways on its own. So please don’t be nice to me.”
Gong Ji Hyeok responds honestly, “I’m not a good person. I’m swaying too. I want to be the only person by your side.” He later admits, “I think I’ve gone crazy,” showing he is confused by his emotions.
